Denver-based Titanium Metals Corp., which operates a manufacturing plant in Henderson, reported a loss of $6.4 million, 20 cents a share, for the quarter ending Dec. 31.
The loss was based on net sales of $106.5 million for the quarter, up slightly from the $105.5 million reported for the same quarter a year earlier. In 1999, the company reported a loss of $17.5 million, 56 cents a share.
The improvement in sales was attributed to a 5 percent increase in sales volume, offset by an 11 percent decline in selling prices.
