Becker Middle School plays begin Thursday
Becker Middle School will hold its fifth annual One-Act Festival at 7 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with a 1 p.m. matinee on Saturday.
The festival will feature "Baby" by Conrad E. Davidson; "Once Upon A Playground" by Jack Frakes; "Inside Out" by Michael Scanlan; "Yellow Tulips" by Anne Coulter Marten; and "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" by Mary Hall at 7 p.m.

Unger will offer his 'Cuban Nights'
Novelist and UNLV professor Douglas Unger will give his first on-campus reading in five years at a free lecture 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Marjorie Barrick Museum of Natural History at UNLV.
Unger will read his long story, "Cuban Nights," just published in "The Idaho Review."
