Letter: Give boosters the chair

Ron Kantowski's column relating to the fact that UNLV boosters need to take a step back ("Boosters need to step back, relax," Jan. 18) was excellent.

There are too many around here trying to be big shots and that's precisely why this university remains in trouble all the time. When you have no leadership at the school, you have people like Steve Wynn prancing around as though they're running the university.

As unfair as the NCAA can be, you can certainly understand its feelings when you see some of these boosters getting in the way of university business.
