Margaret Ann Armstrong

Margaret Ann Armstrong, 53, of North Las Vegas died Monday in North Las Vegas. She was born June 5, 1947, in the District of Columbia. A resident for 16 years, she was a retired clerk in the law enforcement industry.

She is survived by two sons, James Straight of Las Vegas and Anthony Straight of North Las Vegas; one daughter, Christina Spatig of Marathon, Iowa; three brothers, Charlie Towers of Woodbridge, Va., and Irve Towers and James Towers, both of Arlington, Va.; one sister, Beverly Kerr of Hartwood, Va.; and five grandchildren.

Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Donna Bockelman

Donna Bockelman, 63, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. She was born Jan. 24, 1937, in Chicago. A resident for 14 years, she was a retired food server, a member of Isight Center for the Blind and Blind Connect.

She is survived by one son, Roger Freeman of Mount Pleasant, Iowa; two daughters, Debi Magnusson and Donalee Matview, both of Las Vegas; and eight grandchildren.

Mass will be celebrated 2 p.m. Friday in Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 5485 E. Charleston Blvd. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Carrie B. Brown

Carrie B. Brown, 72, of North Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 22, 1928, in Ohio. A resident for 35 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by six daughters, Gloria Brown, Barbara Brown, Betty Harris, Ruby Brown, Dorothy Davis and Linda Brown, all of North Las Vegas; two sons, Charles Brown and John Brown, both of Las Vegas; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 9-11 a.m. Friday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Kathryn Lenore Burnside

Kathryn Lenore Burnside, 86, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born March 27, 1914, in New Virginia, Iowa. A resident for 20 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by three sons, Richard Burnside, John Burnside and Robert Burnside, all of Las Vegas; one daughter, Norma Tims of Beach Park, Ill.; one brother, John Howard Ritchart of Des Moines, Iowa; 16 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Friday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Griffith United Methodist Church, 1701 E. Oakey Blvd. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.

Nancy Carper, 68, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 11, 1932, in Battle Creek, Mich. A resident for 21 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Larry; three sons, Larry Carper Jr., Stephen Mollica and Christopher Carper, all of Las Vegas; two daughters, Mary Gangi and Cindy Carper, both of Henderson; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Henretta Carr

Henretta Carr, 103, of Las Vegas died Jan. 18 in North Las Vegas. She was born March 25, 1897, in Tendal, La. A resident for 24 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by four daughters, Nellie Jackson of North Las Vegas and Gertrude Carr, Velvet Walker and Jane Carr, all of Las Vegas; one son, Floyd Carr of Cincinnati; 53 grandchildren, 110 great-grandchildren and 40 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 1-8 p.m. Friday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, 1240 W. Adams Ave. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

David Lincoln Casale

David Lincoln Casale, 87, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 13, 1914, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 12 years, he was an Army comptroller.

He is survived by three daughters, Eileen Mahan of Las Vegas, Diane LumLung of Oklahoma City and Patricia Tobacco of Hawaii; one son, Robert Casale of New York; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Harold Durham

Harold Durham, 56, of Henderson died Sunday in Indian Springs. He was born Sept. 1, 1944, in Washington state. A resident for 10 years, he was a laborer in the construction industry.

He is survived by one son, Jeff Durham, and one daughter, Michelle Magruder, both of Tacoma, Wash.

Anna M. Eller

Anna M. Eller, 81, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born April 2, 1919, in Columbus, Ohio. A resident for five years, she was a hospital nurse's aide.

She is survived by one daughter, Margie Higgins of Las Vegas; and two sisters, Ruth Blankenship and Mary Hines, both of Grants Pass, Ore.

Virginia 'Ginger' Emmert

Virginia "Ginger" Emmert, 68, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 31, 1932, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 40 years, she was a hotel PBX operator.

She is survived by one son, John Papia of Henderson; and five grandchildren.

Paula Gerenstein

Paula Gerenstein, 82, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. She was born March 3, 1918, in New York City. A resident for six years, she was a retired government private secretary and a member of the Jewish War Veterans Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband, Harry; one daughter, Carol Gerenstein of Las Vegas; one son, Robert Gerenstein of Verona, N.J.; and two grandchildren.

Services will be 9 a.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Ruth Greene, 80, of Henderson died Monday in a local hospital. She was born March 23, 1920, in Chicago. A resident for 15 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by three daughters, Clara Greene of Salem, Mass., Karen Greene of Henderson and Susan Greene of Studio City, Calif.; three sons, Sammy Weiss of Studio City and Barry Greene and Michael Greene, both of Woodland, Calif.; one brother, Harry Weiss of Studio City; and seven grandchildren.

Jame S. Haines, 26, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 7, 1974, in Yeadon, Pa. A resident for six years, she was a phlebotomist for Associated Pathologists Laboratories and a member of the ladies auxiliary of the Moose Lodge.

She is survived by one daughter, Makenzie Mary Haines, her father, John F. Haines, and two brothers, Shawn Haines and Kevin Haines, all of Henderson; and one sister, Anna Marie Traini of North Wildwood, N.J.

Helen Hubble, 82, of Henderson died Tuesday in Henderson. She was born April 30, 1918, in Canada. A longtime resident, she was a fruit processor.

She is survived by one daughter, Susan Vowels of Kalkaska, Mich.

Roosevelt Jones Sr.

Roosevelt Jones Sr., 72, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 10, 1928, in Delhi, La. A resident for 48 years, he was a laborer in the construction industry and a Korean War Army veteran.

He is survived by three daughters, Wajeehah Bilal, Cheryl Rushdan and Artimease Lewis, all of Las Vegas; four sons, Gary Wormwood of Reno and Roosevelt Jones Jr., Eddie Wormwood and Roy Graig Jones, all of Las Vegas; five brothers, James Cleo Jones of Las Vegas, Raymond Jones of Dallas and Frank B. Jones, Willie Lee Jones and Amos Jones, all of Delhi; seven sisters, Roberta Stout, Armetha Jones, Maxine Jones, Artimeas Graham, Jeurtha Lynch, Mary Lee Alexander and Melody D. Edmond, all of Delhi; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Frank David Kryger

Frank David Kryger, 85, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. He was born Oct. 24, 1915, in Melrose Park, Ill. A resident for six years, he was a retired deputy sheriff and a member and past governor of the Moose Lodge.

He is survived by two daughters, Kathie Johnson and Sharon Houston, both of Las Vegas, one son, Stephen Kryger of Salt Lake City; two sisters, Jean Smith and Catherine Talleckson, both of Sacramento; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Steve Martin, 43, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 12, 1957, in Billings, Mont. A resident for six years, he was a construction superintendent.

He is survived by one son, Levi Martin of Alcova, Wyo.; two daughters, Vanessa Martin and Cristal Rooker, both of Aurora, Colo.; one brother, Jerry Martin, and one sister, Darcey Kerner, both of Billings.

Sebora "Brooklyn" May, 19, of Las Vegas died Sunday on State Route 160. She was born Oct. 15, 1981, in Fairfield, Calif. A resident for seven months, she was a high school student.

She is survived by her mother, Gilda Griffin of Sacramento; two brothers, Wade May of Sacramento and Johnathan May of Ione, Calif.; two sisters, Ivony May of Las Vegas and Cornelia Bryner of Fairfield, Calif.; and her grandmother, Deborah Randolph of Sacramento.

She is survived by her husband, Walter F.; one daughter, Marsha K. Schieber of Portage, Mich.; one son, Michael L. Roberts of Las Vegas; two sisters, Betty Cook and Trizah Foster, both of Michigan; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; two stepsons, David of Las Vegas and Michael of South Carolina; one stepdaughter, Susan of Wisconsin; three brothers, Tom, Hari and Jack, all of Wisconsin; and six grandchildren.
