Goodman to discuss gay-lesbian issues
Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman will host a town hall meeting at 1 p.m. Thursday to discuss issues of concern to the gay and lesbian community.
The meeting will be held at the Metropolitan Community Church, 1140 Almond Tree Lane, near Maryland Parkway and Sahara Avenue. It is one in a series of forums for special-interest communities. For more information, call 229-6501.
Vintage motorcycle auction scheduled
The Clark County Museum Benefit 10th annual Vintage and Special Interest Motorcycle Auction to benefit the Clark County Museum will be 5 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday at the Tropicana hotel.
Admission is $5 for adults and free for children under 12.
More than 400 vintage special interest motorcycles from all over the world will be offered. There will be collectable and rideable BMWs, Harley Davidsons, Hondas, Indians, Kawasakis, Matchless, Nortons, Triumphs, Vincents and many more.

Volunteers can help with project
Groups and individuals of all ages can help build a wildlife habitat and prevent erosion in the Clark County Wetlands Park 8 a.m.-noon Saturday at the Nature Center, 7050 E. Tropicana Ave.
Volunteers should come prepared with gloves, closed toe shoes and water. Those interested in participating, call 455-8114.
WorldFolk looks for volunteers
The WorldFolk Foundation is seeking volunteers for its third annual "Koko" Kokopelli Honors awards show, which will take place Feb. 26 at the Clark County Library theater, 1401 E. Flamingo Road.
The awards show will honor individuals and groups in Southern Nevada who have made positive social and cultural impacts on our lives.
WorldFolk is seeking all aspects of production talent, including stage, sound and lighting, music and dance arrangements, working with artists and setting up the art exhibit which will take place before the awards show, advertising, office help, and phoning.

chairman of UNLV's Department of Counseling, will discuss ways in which couples can prevent or deal with sexual problems 7:30 p.m. Monday in the Marjorie Barrick Museum of Natural History on the UNLV campus.
