Ohioan holds slim lead at Orleans

Jeff Lizzi of Sandusky, Ohio, held a two-pin lead over Danny Wiseman of Baltimore after the first nine games of the PBA Orleans Casino Open Monday.
Lizzi toppled 2,035 pins for a 226.1 average while Wiseman's numbers were 2,033 and 225.8.
Floridians Norm Duke and Paul Koehler and Texan Paul Fleming rounded out the top five. Las Vegans Joe Salvemini and Wayne Webb were 24th and 33rd, respectively. Dave Wodka of Henderson was in 69th place.
The tournament continued today with qualifying games. Match play starts Wednesday and the championship round is Thursday. The stepladder finals will be televised by ESPN beginning at 11 a.m. Sunday.
