Frank E. Baca

Frank E. Baca, 73, of Henderson died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 17, 1927, in Seligman, Ariz. A resident for six years, he was a retired elementary school principal.

He is survived by his wife, Dolores; two daughters, Marcella Bloomfield of Middletown, N.Y., and Nancy Finklea of New Orleans; one son, David Baca of Henderson; his mother, Adela Baca, one sister, Lydia Madrid, and one brother, Ernest Baca, all of Barstow, Calif.; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Chapel, Henderson.

Cecilio Bermudez-Cano

Cecilio Bermudez-Cano, 30, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 22, 1970, in Mexico. A resident for eight years, he was a busboy.

He is survived by his father, Bonifacio Bermudez; his mother, Maria Cano; three brothers, Pedro Bermudez, Jose Bermudez and Reinoldo Bermudez; and seven sisters, Marcel Bermudez, Socorro Bermudez, Teodora Bermudez, Concepcion Bermudez, Rosa Bermudez, Maria Bermudez and Lupe Bermudez.

Services will be 2-5:30 p.m. Wednesday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Harland Chase Burr

Harland Chase Burr, 81, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 18, 1920, in Cleveland. A resident for 35 years, he was a maintenance supervisor for an apartment complex and a World War II Army and Coast Guard veteran.

He is survived by one brother, Howard Burr of St. Petersburg, Fla.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Anthony Carangi

Anthony Carangi, 56, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 7, 1944, in New Jersey. A resident for four years, he was a furniture craftsman.

He is survived by his wife, Doris; one son, Christopher; three daughters, Cynthia, Dawna and Heather; and one granddaughter.

Graveside services were scheduled at 2 p.m. today in Paradise Memorial Gardens. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, handled arrangements.

James Vincenzo Carlino

James Vincenzo Carlino, 78, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 20, 1922, in Minnesota. A resident for 15 years, he was a bartender.

He is survived by one daughter, Jamie Carlino of Slidell, La.; and two grandchildren.

Spencer Chmielarski

Spencer Chmielarski, 45, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 3, 1955, in New York state. A resident for four years, he was a maintenance worker in the transportation industry.

He is survived by two brothers, Stanley Chmielarski and Steve Chmielarski, both of New York state.

Charles E. Clark Sr.

Charles E. Clark Sr., 58, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born July 3, 1942, in Gary, W.Va. A resident for 13 years, he was a university security officer and a Vietnam War Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by one son, Carlton Clark, and one daughter, Charlette Jarman, both of Las Vegas; his mother, Gladys Clark of Wilmington, Del.; three sisters, Sandra Hamid of Linden, N.J., Connie Smith of Upper Marlboro, Md., and Jacqueline Beal of Winston-Salem, N.C.; and 10 grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Gregory Lee Clark

Gregory Lee Clark, 37, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born May 23, 1963, in Norfolk, Neb. A resident for 20 years, he worked at a Coca-Cola plant.

He is survived by his parents, Darrell and Carol Clark, and two sisters, Debra Butler and Teresa Copper, both of Norfolk.

Ruby K. Cunningham

Ruby K. Cunningham, 84, of Cave Junction, Ore., died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born July 16, 1916, in Campbell, Calif. A resident for one year, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, David Dennis of Las Vegas; two sisters, Betty Packer of San Rafael, Calif., and Marjorie Gunnerson of Peterson, Iowa; five grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Ernest 'Bear' Darr Jr.

Ernest "Bear" Darr Jr., 80, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 25, 1920, in San Mateo, Calif. A resident for 12 years, he was a newspaper journalist and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Hilda; two sons, Gerald Darr of Gibson, Ariz., and Gregory Darr of Kailua, Hawaii; and one brother, Kenneth Darr of Vacaville, Calif.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Burial will be in Hawaii.

Madeline Denicola

Madeline Denicola, 76, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 18, 1924, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 12 years, she was a furniture slip cover operator.

She is survived by one son, Samuel Denicola of New York; two daughters, Theresa Lonigan of New York and Patti Teti of Las Vegas; four brothers; and four sisters.

Robert Lloyd Dietz

Robert Lloyd Dietz, 76, of Pahrump died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 4, 1924, in Oklahoma. A resident for 70 years, he was a retired firefighter and a member of Firefighters Local 1285 for more than 28 years.

He is survived by one son, Gary Dietz; two daughters, Karen Davis and Vicky Robinson; one sister, Nellie Kirby; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 8:30-9:30 a.m. Thursday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Tommy A. 'T.G.' Goodwin

Tommy A. "T.G." Goodwin, 60, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. He was born June 5, 1940, in Denver. A resident for 25 years, he owned an auto body shop in Henderson for five years.

He is survived by his wife, Roberta J.; one son, Phil Goodwin of Las Vegas; one daughter, Phyllis Goodwin of Henderson; two stepsons, Richard Rodenberg of Las Vegas and Darryn Rodenberg of Henderson; one stepdaughter, Amber Anderson of Artesia, Calif.; his mother, Ann Lilly of Boulder City; and four grandchildren.

Daniel Gordon, 88, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 7, 1912, in Hartford, Conn. A resident for four years, he was a wholesaler.

He is survived by two sons, Barry Gordon and Robert Gordon, both of Henderson; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Vickie Lee Hochman, 43, of Las Vegas died Sunday. She was born June 17, 1957, in San Francisco. A resident for one year, she was an office manager for a job placement company.

She is survived by one daughter, Samantha M. Hochman, and her parents, Frances L. and George H. Hochman, all of Las Vegas; and two sisters, Wendy J. Siver of Moraga, Calif., and Cathy A. Hightower of Oakland, Calif.

Jimmy F. Holden, 57, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 22, 1943, in Delano, Calif. A resident for 31 years, he was a floor installer in the construction industry.

He is survived by his wife, Leetha; one daughter, Jamie Carr, one son, Kevin Holden, and one stepson, Ryun Chastain, all of Las Vegas; his mother, Willa Mae Holden of Pahrump; five brothers, Ray Holden of Las Vegas, Duke Holden and Kenny Holden, both of Oklahoma, Larry Holden of Kansas City, Kan., and Danny Holden of Lake Tahoe, Calif.; and six grandchildren.

Julia May Jones, 76, of Pahrump died Wednesday in Pahrump. She was born Aug. 19, 1924, in Ulysses, Neb. A resident for two years, she was a homemaker and worked at Vancouver Shipyards during World War II.

He is survived by one son, Douglas A. Jones of New York City; one daughter, Nancy G. Wilson of Pahrump; one brother, James Block of Kelseyville, Calif.; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Vivian L. Manz, 83, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born July 31, 1917, in Du Bois, Pa. A resident for 2 1/2 years, she was a uniform supplier for the federal government.

She is survived by one son, Jacob Manz of Canada; one daughter, Vivian Delisle of Las Vegas; and one sister, Delores Curton of Michigan.

A resident for five years, she was a retired insurance policy rater, a World War II Navy veteran, a member of the Senior Friends, National Association of Retired Federal Employees and RSVP-Silver Striper and volunteered for the American Cancer Society and Polio Remember Your Strength.

She is survived by her husband, John F.; and one sister, Flora Schatz of Hendersonville, N.C.
