Desert Inn claims dismissed

A judge threw out new claims but said he may appoint an arm of the court to "establish order if things get out of hand" between Steve Wynn and the Desert Inn Estates homeowners over Wynn's development of a new casino megaresort at the Desert Inn Golf Course.
The 12 Desert Inn homeowners who spurned Wynn's offer to buy out their homes for his project accused him of disrupting their water supplies after a November legal ruling that invalidated Wynn's homeowners' board of directors but allowed him to continue developing his project.
Clark County District Judge Mark Denton dismissed the allegations, saying there is no evidence to show Valvino Lamore caused water supply problems.
Denton also dismissed claims by Wynn's company, Valvino Lamore LLC, that three holdout homeowners have been disrupting his project.
