Letter: Democrats can stop crying now about election
Friday, Jan. 19, 2001 | 9:32 a.m.
The recount numbers are in for the Miami-Dade undercount. Now Al Gore's supporters won't have to spend the next four years whining that their man had won Florida. Miami-Dade was supposed to be the treasure trove of votes that would put Gore over the top with the counting of the 10,600 undervotes.
Now that the count is in, Bush adds 6 votes to his total, not the hundreds and hundreds for Gore that all of the collectivist cry-babies have been saying would be found. Even the Doonesbury cartoons saying that Gore was forging ahead and would have won have mysteriously disappeared in mid-story.
And we can all be thankful for the Electoral College. This saved the rest of us from being steamrollered by the totals from the Democratic "vote farms" in New York City, Los Angeles, etc. Jesse Jackson has been carefully farming these plots of ground, ensuring poverty for these poor people for generations to come (but also ensuring Democratic vote production).
This will forever be his legacy: He has kept the poor masses in poverty and demonizes anyone who preaches personal responsibility and accountability (for example, the Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson). But these actions produce productive vote farms churning out Democratic votes, which is his only real interest.
