StumbleLV man top candidate for Reno tourism job

RENO -- A hotel and exposition center executive from Las Vegas has emerged as the clear favorite to run the Reno-Sparks Convention & Visitors Authority.
Jeff Beckelman, vice president of sales and marketing for the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino and its attached Sands Expo Center, was the only one of five candidates for RSCVA president and chief executive officer recommended by each RSCVA board member to advance to the final review process, the Reno Gazette-Journal reported Wednesday.
