Clark County was granted an additional 30 days by the Environmental Protection Agency to turn in two years' worth of documents related to a refrigerant disposal investigation.
In a certified letter dated Dec. 22, officials from the EPA's San Francisco office requested records detailing refrigerant acquisitions, purchases and repairs for a two-year period ending Jan. 1, 1999.
The regional office also has requested the name and addresses of reclamation facilities and the type and amount of refrigerant sent to those plants.
The 30-day extension was granted to the county on Tuesday.
