Francis D. Boillotat

Francis D. Boillotat, 89, of North Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 2, 1911, in Detroit. A resident for six years, he was a retired electrical engineer for an automotive company and a member of the Golden Gems Senior Group.

He is survived by his wife, June A.; one son, Timothy M. Butler of San Leandro, Calif.; two daughters, Barbara R. Robey of Gwinn, Mich., and Laura B. Kolafa of Sacramento; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A rosary will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 1111 Michael Way. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

The family suggests contributions to the donor's favorite charity.

Leonard Brown

Leonard Brown, 93, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 22, 1907, in Kansas. A resident for 42 years, he was an ironworker in the construction industry and a member of Ironworkers Union Local 416 since 1936.

He is survived by two daughters, Clarice McLaughlin of Palmdale, Calif., and Janice Jensen of Las Vegas; three sons, Bob Brown, Gary Brown and Jayson Brown, all of Las Vegas; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Services were scheduled at noon today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will be Wednesday in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Billy M. Buchanan

Billy M. Buchanan, 75, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 3, 1925, in Pueblo, Colo. A resident for 34 years, he was a maintenance mechanic and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Genevieve; one son, Steven Buchanan of Boise, Idaho; one daughter, Virginia Buchanan of Las Vegas; two brothers, Jack Buchanan of Young, Ariz., and Roy Buchanan of Corning, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

A memorial service was scheduled at 1 p.m. today at the family residence. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, handled arrangements.

Doris Kirk

Doris Kirk, 82, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born July 2, 1918, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 12 years, she was a homemaker and a member of B'nai B'rith.

She is survived by her husband, Sam; two daughters, Rochell Weinstein of Las Vegas and Peggy Hodgson of Covina, Calif.; one son, Alan Kirk of Ventura, Calif.; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 30 minutes prior to 1 p.m. services Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will follow in Eden Vale Memorial Park.

Helen Nestir Kozin

Helen Nestir Kozin, 87, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born July 29, 1913, in Jaroslaw, Poland. A resident for 20 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Helena Vece of Las Vegas; one son, Bohdan Kozin of New Haven, Conn.; one sister, of Poland; and five grandchildren.

A memorial service was scheduled at 2 p.m. today in St. Gabriel Byzantine Catholic Church, 2250 E. Maule Ave. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., handled arrangements.

Hyman 'Hy' Rabin

Hyman "Hy" Rabin, 79, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local health care center. He was born Aug. 14, 1921, in Paterson, N.J. A resident for 11 years, he was a retired aerospace technician, a World War II Navy veteran and a member of the Jewish War Veterans.

He is survived by his wife, Anne; and one son, Mark Rabin of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. services Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

The family suggests donations to the Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St., Las Vegas, NV 89119.

Jose Saldivar

Jose Saldivar, 75, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born June 3, 1925, in Bingham, Utah. A resident for 25 years, he was a retired hotel kitchen worker.

He is survived by his wife, Socorro; three daughters, Socorro Garcia, Rosa Saldivar and Erica Sotelo, and five sons, Sergio Saldivar, Jorge Saldivar, Jose Saldivar, Jesus Saldivar and Luis Carlos Saldivar, all of Las Vegas; one sister, Jovita Saldivar of Mexico; three brothers, Brigido Saldivar of Santa Barbara, Calif., and Jesus Saldivar and Blas Saldivar, both of Mexico; 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Tuesday and 10-11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Christopher's Catholic Church, 1840 N. Bruce St. Graveside services will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

Ronald J. Scanlon

Ronald J. "Ronnie" Scanlon, 68, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born April 4, 1932, in Teaneck, N.J. A resident for 43 years, he was a retired nuclear engineer, a Korean War Army veteran and a founding member of Las Vegas Sons of Erin.

He is survived by his wife, Crystal; one son, Michael Scanlon of Las Vegas; one daughter, Cynthia Scanlon of Seattle; one sister, Patricia Faivre of Las Vegas; one brother, Jim Scanlon of Teaneck, N.J.; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 5 p.m. until a 7 p.m. rosary Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 1111 Michael Way.
