Clemmie Bearden
Clemmie Bearden, 70, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local convalescent hospital. She was born July 15, 1930, in Texas. A resident for 34 years, she was a retired law office legal assistant.
She is survived by two daughters, Jonette Simpson and Glennele King, and one brother, Gorden Bennett Gibbs, all of Henderson; three grandchildren and one great-grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.
William George Hoffman
William George Hoffman, 70, of Henderson died Tuesday in Las Vegas. A machinist, he was born July 15, 1930, in Texas.
He is survived by three daughters, Carol Sherman and Alice Dessormeau, both of Las Vegas, and Elaine Miller of Socota, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Ellen Hoover
Ellen Hoover, 59, of Henderson died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 22, 1941, in Kansas City, Mo. A resident for many years, she was a surgical nurse.
She is survived by her husband, Ted; two sons, Mark McGuire and Jack Beaver, both of California; two daughters, Sara Castillo of Oregon and Rita La Rose of Oklahoma; three brothers, Melvin Wilcher, Norman Wilcher and Jimmy Wilcher, all of Missouri; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling private arrangements.
John M. Jansen
John M. Jansen, 72, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. A resident for seven years, he was born May 17, 1938, in the Netherlands.
He is survived by his wife, Maria L.; two sons, John Jansen Jr. of California and Ronald S. Jansen of Las Vegas; one sister, Riene Vandyke of the Netherlands; and two grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 5-8 p.m. today and 10 a.m. until noon services Saturday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.
Mary E. Jones
Mary E. Jones, 56, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born April 10, 1944, in Pennsylvania. A resident for many years, she was a retail store clerk.
She is survived by her husband, James P. Sr.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Sharon, Pa. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Carol LaChance
Carol LaChance, 57, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 27, 1943, in Rhode Island. A resident for five years, she was a receptionist.
She is survived by her husband, Armand; two sons, Steven P. LaChance and Alan LaChance; one sister, Joan; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 1 p.m. services Saturday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
Lemar Jarabe Lawton
Lemar Jarabe Lawton, 33, of Henderson died Saturday in a local health care center. She was born March 28, 1967, in the Philippines. A resident for four years, she was a financial service representative in the banking industry.
She is survived by her husband, Scott; two sons, Andrew Lawton and Michael Lawton, and her father, Mariano Sagaysay, all of Henderson; two brothers, Marlon Sagaysay and Jalemar Sagaysay, and one sister, Jane Sagaysay, all of Honolulu.
Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. services Monday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
David A. Mackey-Rangiuaia
David A. Mackey-Rangiuaia, 42, of Las Vegas, died Jan. 4 in an Arizona hospital. He was born July 19, 1958, in New Zealand. A resident for five years, he was self-employed in international finance.
He is survived by his wife, Grace Haunani; his parents, Robert Pahau and June Isabella Mackey-Rangiuaia of New Zealand; and two sisters, Fiona Morris of New Zealand and Ruth Panee of Hawaii.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 11 a.m. services Saturday in the Hillpointe Ward, 9011 Hillpointe Road. Graveside services will be 12:30 p.m. Saturday in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest.
Albert J. Monte
Albert J. Monte, 75, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 9, 1925, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 37 years, he was a retired hotel showroom captain and a World War II and Korean War Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Joanne; one daughter, Michelle Mor of Las Vegas; one sister, Gloria Carpentier of Manhasset, N.Y.; one brother, John Monteferrante of Brooklyn; and one grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. services Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Jane Evelyn Morgan
Jane Evelyn Morgan, 89, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. She was born Oct. 29, 1911, in California. A resident for 20 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Earl Morgan; one daughter, Susan Davidson; her parents, August and Emma Westphal Lutz; one brother, Robert Lutz; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Elberta M. Schertzer
Elberta M. Schertzer, 82, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. A resident for 16 years, she was born Feb. 17, 1918, in Exeter, Neb.
She is survived by two sons, Robert Bacon of Seattle and Stephen Schertzer of Hawthorne, Calif.; one daughter, JoAnn Jacobs of Las Vegas; two brothers, John Roth of Bellflower, Calif., and Phillip Roth of Los Alamitos, Calif.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Monday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in Holy Family Catholic Church, 4490 Mountain Vista St. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.
Thomas E. Sheehy aka Reid Barker
Thomas E. Sheehy aka Reid Barker, 51, of Las Vegas died recently in Las Vegas. A registered nurse, he was born May 2, 1949, in Troy, N.Y.
He is survived by three brothers, Richard Sheehy and Michael Sheehy, both of Virginia, and Paul Sheehy and James Sheehy, both of New York state; and two sisters, Catherine Scanlon of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., and Cheryl Hughto of Waterford, N.Y.
A memorial service will be in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will be private.
Joseph Richard Shipka
Joseph Richard Shipka, 70, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 7, 1930, in Illinois. A resident for 25 years, he was self-employed in the construction industry and was a member of the Moose.
He is survived by his companion of 27 years, Reta Brown; two sons, Joey and Bruce; three daughters, Denise, Kimberly and Sulyn; two sisters, Dorothy and Evelyn; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be 4 p.m. Saturday in the Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
Elizabeth H. Thomas
Elizabeth H. Thomas, 71, of Las Vegas died Jan. 4 in North Las Vegas. She was born April 7, 1929, in Tallulah, La. A resident for 52 years, she was a Stardust housekeeper and an employee at Western Linen.
She is survived by six sons, Albert Chase, John, Mekail, Wet Edward, Jake Thomas and J.T. Thomas; seven daughters, Hazel Walker, Annie Kemp, Carol Malone, Liz Green, Melissa Thomas, Terry Thomas and Martha Hijazi; 40 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Mountaintop Ministries, 3045 Lindell Road. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Myra J. Travis
Myra J. Travis, 62, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 20, 1938, in Detroit. A resident for 11 years, she was a retail secretary.
She is survived by one son, Brian Travis, and one daughter, Elizabeth Guest, both of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.
