Rick Pitino leaves behind many angry Celtics fans for making false promises. He had no patience and didn't realize his expertise in college does not translate to the pro game.

He'll win an NCAA title at UNLV before the Celts win championship No. 17. That's very sad but true.

Do yourself a favor. Keep all of your Pitino quotes handy. They change quickly.

Style over substance doesn't cut it in Boston. Maybe it does in Vegas.
