SoCal Edison’s layoffs include Laughlin plant

Socal Edison announced last week it planned to eliminate 1,850 jobs as part of an effort to reduce costs by $465 million.
Plant spokesman Don Henderson said most of those being laid off in Laughlin would be managers rather than hourly workers and that some would be offered early retirement.
Specifics were expected to be announced by February. The plant employs about 350 people, down from about 600 four years ago, Henderson said.
