Thomas Field Archer Sr.
Thomas Field Archer Sr., 80, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 4, 1920, in Colorado. A resident for one year, he was a security guard at Rockwell International and an Air Force veteran.
He is survived by one son, Thomas; one brother, Al Field; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be noon Friday at Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
Robert Allen Brown Jr.
Robert Allen Brown Jr., 24, of Henderson died Friday in Henderson. A student at UNLV, he was born April 16, 1976, in Los Angeles.
He is survived by his parents, Shelia R. and Robert A. Brown Sr.; two sisters, Demetria Shipp and Christina Brown; and his grandparents, Myrtle Blackburn, and Richard and Leona Brown.
Visitation is scheduled noon-7 p.m. Friday in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.
Vincent Calabrese Sr.
Vincent Calabrese Sr., 75, of Henderson died Monday in a local hospice. He was born Nov. 12, 1925, in Trenton, N.J. A resident for 10 1/2 years, he was a retired electrical contractor, a World War II and Korean War Navy veteran and a member of the Elks.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; three daughters, Marie Tawes of Trenton, N.J., Anna Marie Trautman of Morrisville, Pa., and Susan Mercurio of Robbinsville, N.J.; three sons, Michael Calabrese of Trenton, Vincent Calabrese Jr. of Henderson and David Calabrese of Las Vegas; four brothers, Angelo Calabrese of Seattle, Leonard Calabrese II and Russell Calabrese, both of Trenton, and Sam Calabrese of Denton, Texas; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will be in Trenton.
The family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society, 1325 E. Harmon Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89119, or the American Heart Association, 6370 W. Flamingo Road, Suite 1, Las Vegas, NV 89103.
Martin Edward Canavan
Martin Edward Canavan, 66, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. A resident for five years, he was born June 11, 1934, in Boston.
He is survived by one sister, Mildred Lamoureaux.

Betty Ruth Dunkel
Betty Ruth Dunkel, 74, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born July 14, 1926, in Virginia. A resident for four years, she was a hospital registered nurse and an Army veteran.
She is survived by one daughter, Cheryl Nolen of Las Vegas; two brothers, Donald Henderson and Robert Henderson, both of New York; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled noon-12:30 p.m. Friday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services will follow at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Paul Fine
Paul Fine, 61, of Las Vegas died Jan. 4 in Bullhead City, Ariz. A self-employed salesman, he was a Navy veteran. He was born June 27, 1939, in Boston.
He is survived by his wife, Irma; two sons, Wayne Allan and David Scott, both of Arizona; one daughter, Wendy Sue of Hershey, Pa.; and three grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Lorraine Guyant
Lorraine Guyant, 52, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 31, 1948, in Boston. A resident for three years, she was a saleswoman.
She is survived by one daughter, Jennifer Smith; her mother, Lydia Basil; two brothers, John Basil and Richard Basil; and one sister, Midge Berkley.

James Hans
James Hans, 65, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. He was born June 9, 1935, in New Jersey. A resident for eight years, he was an automobile painter.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; five sons, Joe, Jerry, John, Scott and Kenny; five daughters, Darcy, Joanie, Joyce, Denise and Renee; two stepsons, Vincent and Kenn; one stepdaughter, Virginia; 26 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and seven step-grandchildren.
A celebration of life service will be 3 p.m. Friday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
Fern Cleone Hyder
Fern Cleone Hyder, 89, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 9, 1911, in Hyrum, Utah. A resident for 26 years, she was a self-employed seamstress.
She is survived by her husband, Chalmas W. Hyder of Las Vegas; one daughter, Janet Steffen of Mesa, Ariz.; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 10 a.m. services Saturday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Dick James
Dick James, 76, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 11, 1924, in Indianapolis. A resident for two years, he was a retired machinist for a petroleum company and a World War II Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Betty; one son, Jim James of Ojai, Calif.; one sister, Ruth Ebel of Reseda, Calif.; and one grandchild.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Community Church of Henderson, 360 E. Horizon Drive, Henderson. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Daryl R. Jensen Sr.
Daryl R. Jensen Sr., 78, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born March 20, 1922, in Rochester, Minn. A resident for 1 1/2 years, he was a railroad engineer.
He is survived by one son, Daryl R. Jensen of California; two daughters, Sharon Goldsberry of Las Vegas and Barbara Gonzales of Salt Lake City; one brother, Roland Jensen of Washington state; and three sisters, Madline Stebbins of Minnesota, Darlene Quick of Arizona and Lucille Floesinger of Iowa.

George Daniel Karaffa
George Daniel Karaffa, 74, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local health care center. A resident for 20 years, he was born Sept. 14, 1926, in California.

Rosalee Krug, 65, of Henderson died Monday. A retired telephone center manager, she was born Aug. 6, 1935, in Laredo, W.Va.
She is survived by one son, Frank Krug of Las Vegas; her mother, Stella Appie of Henderson; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Merle Emery Landon
Vincent Calabrese Sr., 71, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born July 18, 1929, in Missouri. A resident for eight years, he was a retired Korean War and Vietnam War Air Force veteran and prisoner of war.
He is survived by his wife, Lillian; two sons, Steven and Raymond; two daughters, Lynette and Jeannette; and one grandchild.

She is survived by one brother, Charles Miller of Pemberton, N.J.; four grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 3 p.m. services Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. A private burial will be in Palm Memorial Park.
Vincent Paiz
Vincent Paiz, 80, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born July 19, 1920, in Colorado. A resident for many years, he was an airport maintenance worker.
He is survived by one daughter, Diane Paiz-Capra of Las Vegas.

Irene E. Pickenbach, 96, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 28, 1904, in Dallas City, Ill. A resident for eight years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Charles W.; one son, Robert D. MacNaught of Farmington, Calif.; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Mary Plaid, 58, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. She was born Oct. 7, 1942, in Peoria, Ill. A resident for 35 years, she was a medical transcriptionist and a member of the Frontier Girl Scout Council.
She is survived by her husband, Eugene; one daughter, Nikki Plaid of Seattle; and one son, Timmon Plaid of Las Vegas.

Elizabeth Reynolds, 54, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 20, 1941, in Texas. A resident for 35 years, she was a cashier in the gaming industry.
She is survived by one daughter, Judie Christiansen; her parents, David and Janie Prater; one brother, David Prater; two sisters, Betty Jane and Deborah Duron; and two grandchildren.

Elmer Sharp
Elmer Sharp, 73, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. He was born July 12, 1927, in Oklahoma. A resident for four years, he was a carpet layer.
He is survived by two brothers, Hobart and Leo.

She is survived by seven sons, Augusto Camelo Soler, Gregorio Camelo Soler, Alfredo Camelo Soler and Hernando Camelo Soler, all of Las Vegas, Eliecer Camelo Soler of San Antonio and Antonio Camelo Soler and Gabriel Camelo Soler, both of Colombia; one brother, Jose Soler, and one sister, Eva Soler, both of Colombia; and 12 grandchildren.

Carol Marie Spann, 64, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 7, 1936, in Pittsburg, Texas. A resident for 47 years, she was a hospital registered nurse, a member of the Women's Auxiliary of the Bible Study at St. James Catholic Church and was a eucharistic minister.
She is survived by her husband, Alex M.; one daughter, Mary Renee Bolden-Jones of Las Vegas; two brothers, Alex Onzo Spencer and Frankie Joe Spencer, both of Dallas; and five sisters, Margie Spencer-Flowers, Shirly Spencer-Frazier, Ruthie Spencer-Woodkins and Lena Thompson, all of Dallas, and Mable Spencer-Willis of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled 3 p.m. until a 6 p.m. rosary Friday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in St. James Catholic Church, 820 N. Sunye Un, 64, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 29, 1936, in Kwongchu, South Korea. A resident for 16 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Kumran Kim, and one son, Bamfoo Un, both of Las Vegas.

Lois Vanderhook, 71, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 10, 1929, in Amber, Okla. A resident for 45 years, she was a hotel banquet worker and a member of the Culinary Union.
She is survived by three sons, Rick Vanderhook of Vancouver, Wash., Stephen Vanderhook of Las Vegas and Michael Vanderhook of Douglas, Ariz.; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

LaVerne K. Winne, 75, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born March 23, 1925, in Indianapolis. A resident for 22 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Linda Sue Burton of Holland, Ohio; three sons, Burchard L. Winne of Millbury, Ohio, Bruce A. Winne of Erie, Mich., and Rick Winne of Phoenix; one brother, Louis Kirkland of California; and nine grandchildren.
