Las Vegas division leads company home sales

Kaufman and Broad Home Corp. of Los Angeles, the largest homebuilder in Las Vegas, today said its fourth quarter profit advanced 13 percent to $73.4 million or $2 per share. Sales of $1.24 billion were up slightly from $1.22 billion.
"One particular standout was our Las Vegas division, which delivered a record 3,000-plus homes in fiscal 2000, placing it on a stand-alone basis among the top-25 largest homebuilders in the United States," said CEO Bruce Karatz.
