Commissioners agree to timetable for bond sale
Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2001 | 12:23 p.m.
Only about half of the bonds will be sold in the spring. The rest will be sold in a year or so to avoid conflicts with federal tax laws.
Officials said tax-free bond money must be used within three years or else local governments face heavy penalties on the interest they earn.
