A new airline will begin flights between Laughlin and four cities six days a week beginning Friday.
Air Laughlin will use a 122-passenger Boeing 737 twin-engine jet for flights between the Colorado River community and Ontario, Burbank and San Jose, Calif., and Phoenix.
Round-trip fares will be $99 for Phoenix, Ontario and Burbank and $159 from San Jose.
"We estimate that Air Laughlin will bring as many as 600 visitors each day to Laughlin, which translates into an increase in (hotel) occupancy of about 5 percent," said Mike Scanlon, the airline's chairman and chief executive officer.
Flights will arrive and depart Sunday through Friday from the Laughlin-Bullhead City Airport in Bullhead City, Ariz., across the Colorado River from the Riverside hotel-casino in Laughlin.
