Lloyd Albert Alsgaard

Lloyd Albert Alsgaard, 63, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born June 15, 1937, in Canada. A resident for 45 years, he was a merchant seaman and an Army veteran.

He is survived by one sister, Doreen Hogan of Boulder City.

Neptune Society of Nevada, 8570 Del Webb Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Marvin Eugene Boelkens

Marvin Eugene Boelkens, 75, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born July 30, 1925, in Albany, Ill. A resident for 40 years, he was a retired owner of Factory Service Center Air Conditioning and Heating, a World War II Army Air Corps veteran, a member of the POW Veterans Group and Refrigeration Service Engineers Society.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce A.; two sons, Larry A. Boelkens of Las Vegas and Ronald E. Boelkens of Corona, Calif.; one daughter, Sandra J. O'Connell of Houston; two brothers, Jerry Boelkens of Fulton, Ill., and LaVern Boelkens of Palatine, Ill.; one sister, Margie Hartman of Fulton, Ill.; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 1-7 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday in College Park Baptist Church, 2101 E. Owens Ave. Graveside services will be 12:30 p.m. Monday in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.

The family suggests donations to organizations that will benefit veterans.

Lawrence E. Burns

Lawrence E. Burns, 72, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in North Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 6, 1928, in Victor, Iowa. A resident for 24 years, he was a retired City Hall custodian, a World War II Navy veteran and a member of the Disabled American Veterans.

He is survived by his wife, Theresa; two daughters, Eva Marie Buchert and Christine Brockway, and two sons, Nathaniel Burns and Scott Burns, all of Las Vegas; one sister, Maxine Stepanek of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Rodolfo Carbonell

Rodolfo Carbonell, 57, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 12, 1943, in the Philippines. A resident for 14 years, he was an automobile mechanic.

He is survived by five sons, Armando Carbonell, Arduro Carbonell and Rodolfo Carbonell, all of the Philippines, and Arnold Carbonell and Arnell Carbonell, both of Las Vegas; two daughters, Carolina Carbonell and Rhodora Carbonell, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Alexander Carbonell of the Philippines; four sisters, Linda Carbonell, Carmelita Lopez and Maryann Valena, all of Las Vegas, and Mary Lou Escano of the Philippines; and 14 grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday with services following at 4 p.m. in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements. Burial will be private.

Patrick Dale

Patrick Dale, 75, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born July 12, 1925, in Canada. A resident for 26 years, he was a retired hotel security officer and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Eleanor; two daughters, Dawne Dale of Rhode Island and Kristal Dale of Las Vegas; one son, Michael Dale, and one sister, Gwen Oliveria, both of Rhode Island; and one grandchild.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Phyllis Jean Davis

Phyllis Jean Davis, 76, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. An administrative aide for the federal government, she was born Aug. 24, 1924.

She is survived by one son, Samuel C. Davis, and one daughter, Sandra A. Corrigan, both of Las Vegas; two sisters, Betty Lou Johnson of California and Lois U. Witkowski of Mexico; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Darwin W. Dillon

Darwin W. Dillon, 88, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born March 21, 1912, in New Jersey. A resident for 12 years, he was an insurance company manager.

He is survived by his wife, Elva L.; one son Barry S. Dillon; one daughter, Linda T. Casella; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Rose Belle 'Betty' Ellis

Rose Belle "Betty" Ellis, 92, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. She was born May 16, 1908, in Parsons, Kan. A resident for 41 years, she was a retired property manager at an apartment complex.

She is survived by two daughters, Jacqueline J. Claus and Michelle Pine, and one son, Steven Ellis Pine, all of Los Angeles; and three grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Robert M. Fewell

Robert M. Fewell, 74, of Boulder City died Wednesday in Boulder City. He was born April 11, 1926, in Sedalia, Mo. A resident for 32 years, he was a retired grocery store manager and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia May; three sons, Bob Fewell of Waimea, Hawaii, Michael Fewell of Caliente and Douglas Fewell of Henderson; one daughter, Kathleen Knight of New Ulm, Minn.; one sister, Patricia Rogers of Carson, Calif.; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

John William Greutman

John William Greutman, 73, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 29, 1927, in Tiffin Township, Ohio. A resident for seven years, he was a carpenter and a member of the International Order of Foresters.

He is survived by his wife, Chloe; two daughters, Pamela Greutman and Lois Dobbs, both of Las Vegas; three brothers, Weldon Greutman of Hicksville, Ohio, Kennth Greutman of Grover Hill, Ohio, and Vernon Greutman of Defiance, Ohio; and one sister, Ruth Arps of Bryan, Ohio.

A memorial service is scheduled at 2 p.m. Saturday at the LDS Cedar Creek Ward chapel, 1707 S. Sloan Lane. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society is handling arrangements.

David George Hickman

David George Hickman, 78, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born April 8, 1922, in Ohio. A resident for many years, he was a schoolteacher.

He is survived by one daughter, Margaret Kurtz of Las Vegas.

Pearl L. Holman

Pearl L. Holman, 82, of Henderson died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 7, 1918, in Nebraska. A resident for 46 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by three sons, Gary Holman and Douglas Holman, both of Las Vegas, and Dennis Holman of Gardnerville; one sister, Helen of Reno; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10-11 a.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Larry R. Johnston, D.C.

Larry R. Johnston, D.C., 57, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. He was born Oct. 24, 1943, in Rock Island, Ill. A resident for five years, he was a retired chiropractor and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Carol J.; one son, Ruskin Kendra Johnston, and one daughter, Lily Johnston, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Sarah Davis of Phoenix; and one granddaughter.

Visitation is scheduled noon until 2 p.m. services Saturday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.

Mark McKinley Kelley

Mark McKinley Kelley, 37, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 14, 1963, in Verdun, France. A resident for 10 years, he was a paramedic for AMR for 10 years and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia; one son, Barbara Kelly of Denver; two daughters, Stacey Kelly and Krystle Kelly, both of Las Vegas; two sisters, Rae Trollinger of North Carolina and Barbara Renee Knoblauch of Denver; and one granddaughter.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Bunkers Chapel. Graveside services will follow in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.

Rosemary Carol Kolody, 67, of Pahrump died Tuesday in Pahrump. She was born July 31, 1933, in Chicago. A resident for 13 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, Peter Paul Kolody of Thorton, Colo.; two daughters, Pauline Kolody of Pahrump and Carol Ann Reemts of Redding, Calif.; two brothers, Theodore Doucette of Bureau, Ill., and Duane Doucette of Vista, Calif.; four sisters, Georgina Federline of Las Vegas, Patricia Heitz of Fruitland, Idaho, Shirley Hutchison of Quitman, Ark., and Ruth Severtson of Henderson; and five grandchildren.

William M. Patterson

William M. Patterson, 63, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born June 8, 1937, in Shaw, Miss. A resident for 47 years, he was a retired laborer in the construction industry and a member of That's What Friends Are For.

He is survived by his wife, Doris; three daughters, Janice Johnson of Clovis, N.M., Gertrude Boykin of Las Vegas and Michelle of Dallas; seven sisters, Emma Dempsey of Detroit, Willie B. Burch of Shaw, Miss., Jimmie Lee Cook, Geneva Jones, Addie Patterson, Ulla Moore and Ida Mae Patterson, all of Las Vegas, and Charles Etta Patterson of Chicago; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Victory Baptist Church, 500 W. Monroe Ave. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Deborah A. Payne-Black, 49, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 4, 1951, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, she was a keno writer.

She is survived by her companion, Leon Bullock, one daughter, Karen Payne, five brothers, Arthur Payne, the Rev. William Major, Leon Jackson, Andrew Jackson and Willie Payne Jr., and two sisters, Denise Mitchell and Carrie Payne, all of Las Vegas; and five grandchildren.

Services were scheduled at 1 p.m. today in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, followed by burial in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Viola M. Schouten

Viola M. Schouten, 68, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 4, 1932, in Curacao, Netherlands Antilles. A resident for eight years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by three daughters, Julie Schouten-Bilynsky, Patricia Fretwell and Alethea Zavitz, all of Las Vegas; one son, Hendrikus W. Schouten Jr. of California; three sisters, Magna DeMarchena and Marion DeMarchena, both of Curacao, and Johanna Bruton of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mary C. Svensson, 82, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. She was born Feb. 17, 1918, in Lawrence, Mass. A resident for 27 years, she was a retired waitress and a member of the Culinary Union.

She is survived by two sons, Robert Bills of Sunnyvale, Calif., and Allan S.D. Svensson of Henderson; and five grandchildren.

Lillian Hazel Teatsorth

Lillian Hazel Teatsorth, 87, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born April 30, 1913, in Findlay, Ohio. A resident for 12 years, she was a homemaker and a volunteer at Desert Springs Hospital.

She is survived by one son, Bruce D. Teatsorth of Las Vegas.

Johnnie D. Winslow, 92, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born March 17, 1908, in New Augusta, Miss. A resident for 15 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, John W. Winslow, and one daughter, Carol Winslow, both of Las Vegas; 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
