Alfred Avery
Alfred Avery, 46, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born July 11, 1954, in Los Angeles. A resident for five years, he was a security officer.
He is survived by two brothers, James V. Avery of Inglewood, Calif., and Ricky Avery of Los Angeles; and one sister, Cathy Barscomb of Los Angeles.
Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Margaret C. Barrell-Arndt
Margaret C. Barrell-Arndt, 55, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 13, 1945, in Toronto. A resident for six years, she was a charge nurse at St. Rose De Lima Hospital and an operating room nurse.
She is survived by her husband, Hugh; one son, Ed of Vancouver, British Columbia; one daughter, Bonita of Little Rock, Ark.; one stepdaughter, Renae, and two stepsons, Royce and Regan, both of Calgary, Alberta; two sisters, Joyce and Helen, both of Toronto; and seven grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.
The family suggests donations to the American Heart Association, 6370 W. Flamingo Road, Suite 1, Las Vegas, NV 89103.
Elma Catherine Carroll
Elma Catherine Carroll, 98, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. She was born Sept. 2, 1928, in Waterloo, Iowa. A resident for five years, she was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by three brothers; and four sisters.
She is survived by one son, Leonard Carroll of Henderson; one daughter, Mary C. Lawler of Charlotte, N.C.; one sister, Betty Watson of Florida; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
No local services are scheduled. Entombment will be in Waterloo. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Edward M. Corin
Edward M. Corin, 68, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. He was born March 19, 1932, in Paterson, N.J. A resident for four years, he was a retired instructor for a tool and die company, a Korean War Coast Guard veteran and a member of the Santa Fe and SunCoast bowling leagues.
He is survived by one sister, Arlene B. Abramson of Las Vegas.
Services will be 8:30 a.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Burial will follow in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Clifford E. Dunn Jr.
Clifford E. Dunn Jr., 73, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. He was born Nov. 18, 1927, in Virginia, Minn. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired petroleum company maintenance worker and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by one son, Jim Dunn, and one daughter, Carol Cameron, both of Las Vegas; six sisters, Jeanette of Colorado, Shirley, Beverly and Cooky, all of California and Priscilla and Fran, both of Missouri; four brothers, Don and Bob, both of California and Ray and Dave, both of Oklahoma; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was 1 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Waltraud "Trudi" Ginn, 57, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 31, 1943, in Munich, Germany. A resident for nine years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Robert S.; one daughter, Carmen Voigt, and one son, Michael Voigt, both of Austria; and three sisters, all of Germany.

Lois Marie Grandpre
Lois Marie Grandpre, 88, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 1, 1912, in Louisiana. A resident for eight years, she was an inspector for an electrical company.
She is survived by one son, Ulysses Clayon; four daughters, Betty Lunsford, Barbara Richarson, Shannon Drayton and Gail Gambrell; 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Go Greller, 91, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 26, 1909, in Chicago. A resident for 17 days, she was a retired state government secretary.
She is survived by one son, Charles Greller of Las Vegas; and one sister, Joyce Greller of New York City.

Eldon Jay Hansen
Eldon Jay Hansen, 50, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 5, 1950, in Utah. A resident for seven years, he was an Air Force signals intelligence officer.
He is survived by his wife, Cathy; one daughter, Jacqueline Likert of Utah; one son, Brandon E. Hansen of Atlanta; and one brother, Ted Hansen of Mississippi.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 10 a.m. services in Hollywood Blvd. and Kell Lane LDS Chapel. Burial will be in Brigham City Cemetery. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North is handling arrangements.
Eldon B. Harcourt Sr.
Eldon B. Harcourt Sr., 75, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. He was born Dec. 11, 1925, in Kansas, Okla. A resident for 37 years, he was a retired casino gardener and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Pat; three daughters, Laura Fleming of Ely and Debora Shizuki and Cindy Baca, both of Las Vegas; six sons, David Harcourt, Eldon Harcourt, Kevin Harcourt and Sidney Harcourt, all of Las Vegas, Glenn Harcourt of Rancho Cordova, Calif., and Jeffery Harcourt of West Haven, Conn.; four brothers, Charles Harcourt of Kingman, Ariz., Jim Harcourt and Joe Harcourt, both of Needles, Ariz., and Paul Harcourt of Phoenix; 18 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Shed Hudspeth, 77, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born April 24, 1923, in Monticello, Ark. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired electrical contractor, a World War II Army veteran and a retired member of the National Electrical Contractors Association.
He is survived by his wife, Marion; three daughters, Margaret Hudspeth of Flint, Mich., Denise Durand of Henderson and Rhonda Whiters of New York City; and seven grandchildren.

Roberta Ione Hughes, 74, of Henderson died Saturday in a local care center. She was born May 13, 1926, in Chicago. A resident for four years, she was a retail saleswoman.
She is survived by two sons, Chris Hughes of Las Vegas and Kevin Hughes of Minnetonka, Minn.; one daughter, Robin Hughes of Henderson; and one grandchild.

M. Francis Lamont
M. Francis Lamont, 79, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born June 14, 1921, in Morley, Mo. A resident for 13 years, she was a retired casino hostess.
She is survived by her husband, Lehman Sr.; two sons, Lehman Lamont Jr. and Michael Lamont, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Mary Ellen Jacone of Florida; and one grandchild.

Leonard John LeGrande, 60, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born May 26, 1940, in Louisiana. A resident for 20 years, he was a manager of storage rentals.
He is survived by his wife, Marguerite.

Rose Milstein
Rose Milstein, 84, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born April 23, 1916, in Michigan. A resident for nine years, she was a school district cashier.
She is survived by two daughters, Judi and Bonnie; one sister, Bertha Wapnick; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Phyllis Moore
Phyllis Moore, 75, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. She was born Aug. 10, 1925, in London. A resident for 54 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond; two daughters, Sandy Jean Taylor of Henderson and Patricia Laura Holland of Las Vegas; one brother, Sydney Bottling of London; two sisters, Darris Zanner of Stockton, Calif., and June of London; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Trinity United Methodist Church, 6151 W. Charleston Blvd. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Arthur Williams Parker
Arthur Williams Parker, 84, of Las Vegas died Friday in Henderson. He was born July 12, 1916, in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. A resident for four years, he was a retired Army major who earned two Purple Hearts, a member of the Washington Guard -- the oldest U.S. national reserve unit.
He is survived by his wife, Florence; and one son, Arthur William Parker Jr. of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m. Friday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Ronald Lee Redelsperger, 62, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 11, 1938, in Shafter, Calif. A resident for 35 years, he was a land developer.
He is survived by four sons, Ken Redelsperger, Brince Redelsperger, Steve Redelsperger and Burt Redelsperger, his father, Clarence Redelsperger, one brother, Ken Redelsperger, and one sister, Barbara Redelsperger.

Myrtle Helen Reed, 86, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospice. She was born March 3, 1914, in Arizona. A resident for more than 50 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by three sisters, Michelle Goble, Jeri Katcher and Bernice Spahn, and one brother, Kenneth King, all of Las Vegas.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

"Pennie" Margaret Sanchez, 81, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born July 4, 1919, in Kilarney, Ireland. A resident for 50 years, she was a homemaker and a World War II British Army veteran.
She is survived by one son, Don Sanchez of Las Vegas; one daughter, Sue Hollenbeck of San Antonio; and five grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Wednesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Viator's Catholic Church, 2461 E. Flamingo Road. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Roberta E. Shockley, 79, of Indianapolis died Saturday in an Indianapolis hospital. She was born March 12, 1921, in Jasper, Ind. A former Las Vegas resident for 12 years, she was a homemaker and a life master of the American Contract Bridge League.
She is survived by one daughter, Janice Lynn Shockley-Pickett of San Juan Capistrano, Calif.; one son, Steven C. Shockley of Indianapolis; and five grandchildren.

Philip R. Shoemaker, 50, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born July 21, 1950, in Vallejo, Calif. A resident for 17 years, he was a retired Air Force master sergeant and Vietnam War veteran.
He is survived by two daughters, Andromeda Shoemaker of Henderson and Karen Swann of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one sister, Gayle Conner, and one brother, George Shoemaker, both of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.

Lore Starkey, 70, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 6, 1930, in Weibstadt, Germany. A resident for 40 years, she was a homemaker, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the German American Club.
She is survived by one daughter, Brigette LaFroth; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Leonard Taylor
Leonard Taylor, 77, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. He was born Oct. 20, 1923, in Boston. A resident for 11 years, he was a registered pharmacist for Medi-Mail and an Army Air Corps veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothea; and two sons, Michael Taylor of California and Jeffrey Taylor of Las Vegas.

Joan H. Wade
Joan H. Wade, 64, of Henderson died Monday in a local hospital. She was born May 9, 1936, in Santa Paula, Calif. A resident for 13 years, she was a retired dental technician and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by her husband, James; two daughters, Helen Zettel of Henderson and Allison Gillikin of Norfolk, Va.; two sons, James Wade of Palm Springs, Fla., and Ronald Wade of Camarillo, Calif.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Paul Herbert Zobrist, 70, of Henderson died Sunday in Henderson. He was born Feb. 15, 1930, in North Tonawanda, N.Y. A resident for 36 years, he was an air traffic controller for the Federal Aviation Administration, a Korean War and Vietnam War Air Force veteran, an Air Force member for 21 years of PATCO, a member of Road Runners Internationale and the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Ardell; one son, Randy Zobrist of Davenport, Iowa; two daughters, Carla Orozco of Las Vegas and Paula Kennedy of Reno; one brother, Jack Zobrist of North Tonawanda; one sister, Verda Stittleburg of Fremont, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Thursday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday in the First Congregational Church, 1200 N. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow at 12:30 p.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
