Elko County Commission to meet

Legislative consultant Stephanie Licht will brief the five-member panel, which will include Warren Russell and John Ellison for the first time.

Licht will discuss a possible meeting between the commission and the area's legislative representatives - Assemblymen John Carpenter and John Marvel and state Sen. Dean Rhoads.

The board also is scheduled to discuss electrical market deregulation, Humboldt River Basin Water Authority issues and elk management in the county.

The meeting will conclude with discussions about the Nevada Association of Counties' upcoming projects and county human resources issues.
