Robert Budyach

Robert Budyach, 69, of Henderson died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 30, 1931, in Chicago. A resident for nine years, he was a retired Postal Service clerk, a Korean War Army veteran and a member of the Disabled American Veterans.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret; two daughters, Lenore Budyach and LoriAnn Betts, one son, Robert A. Budyach, and one brother, Joseph Budyach, all of Henderson; one sister, Julia Smith of Palm Desert, Calif.; and six grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 8 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

The family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society, 1325 E. Harmon Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89119.

James J. Cavallo

James J. Cavallo, 63, of Pahrump died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born March 9, 1937, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 2 1/2 years, he was self-employed in the lawn and landscaping business, was an Army veteran, a member of the Pahrump Knights of Columbus and an umpire for the Pahrump girls Little League team.

He is survived by his wife, Stephanie; one son, Vincent Cavallo of Pahrump; three brothers including his twin, Frank Cavallo of Rockaway, N.J., Peter Cavallo of Port Hueneme, Calif., and Anthony Cavallo of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and one sister, Ann Mannucci of Staten Island, N.Y.

Visitation is scheduled 6-8 p.m. today in Pahrump Family Mortuary, 2240 E. Calvada Blvd. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday in Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, Pahrump. Burial will follow in Chief Tecopa Cemetery.

Levi Collins

Levi Collins, 72, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born May 26, 1928, in Arkansas. A resident for many years, he was a laborer and a member of Laborers Local 872.

He is survived by his companion, Maelene Johnson, and two sons, LeRoy and Bay-Bay, all of Las Vegas; three daughters, Doris of Texas and Bobbie Jean and Catherine, both of Las Vegas; two brothers, Booker T. and David, and one sister, Mattie, all of Las Vegas; and 10 grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Thursday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will follow in Eden Vale Memorial Park.

Fidencio Flores

Fidencio Flores, 60, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 24, 1940, in Mexico. A resident for five years, he was a retired agriculture field worker.

He is survived by his wife, Maria Zavala; one son, Rafael Flores of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Rosemary Joan Hedge

Rosemary Joan Hedge, 71, of Las Vegas died Friday in Henderson. A resident for 12 years, she was born Nov. 20, 1929, in Brooklyn, N.Y.

She is survived by three sons, Patrick J. Hedge and William Hawkrigg, both of Las Vegas, and Kevin Hawkrigg of Patchogue, N.Y.; two daughters, Kathleen Widmann of Mastic Beach, N.Y., and Mary Ross of Las Vegas; one sister, Barbara Schwartz of Seattle; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m-noon Friday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will follow at 1 p.m. Friday in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 130 N. Pecos Road, Henderson. Burial will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Arthur G. Jones

Arthur G. Jones, 76, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born June 14, 1924, in Oglesby, Ill. A resident for 27 years, he was a retired accountant, a World War II Army Air Corps veteran and a member of the Air Force Sergeants Association.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth M.; two daughters, Patricia Ehrlich of Occidental, Calif., and Diana Kramer of Petaluma, Calif.; three sons, Thomas Jones, Charles Jones and Daniel Jones, all of Petaluma; and 14 grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Josephine M. Mattern

Josephine M. Mattern, 91, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 1, 1909, in Livonia, N.Y. A resident for 40 years, she was a retired delicatessen owner-operator.

She is survived by one daughter, Helene Hallett, and two sons, William Mattern and Michael Mattern, all of Las Vegas; two brothers, Louis Mazzo and John Mazzo, and one sister, Antoinette Ricchio, all of Rochester, N.Y.; 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. today and 1-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday in Holy Family Catholic Church, 4490 Mountain Vista St., Las Vegas.

Pastor Linda McIntosh-Fluker

Pastor Linda McIntosh-Fluker, 49, of Las Vegas died Dec. 24 in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 13, 1951, in Detroit. A resident for 30 years, she was a pastor at El Shaddai Temple of Deliverance.

She is survived by her husband, Bishop Donald Fluker; one son, Christopher McIntosh, one daughter, Breyanne McIntosh, and one brother, Bishop Raymond McIntosh, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 7 p.m. Wednesday in Zion United Methodist Church, 2108 N. Revere St., North Las Vegas. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Lloyd Richard Nehen Sr.

Lloyd Richard Nehen Sr., 70, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born April 9, 1930, in North Hollywood, Calif. A resident for 11 years, he was a retired cabinetmaker, a Korean War Air Force veteran and a volunteer at Valley Hospital for more than five years.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Joyce Pauline; two sons, Lloyd Richard Nehen Jr. of Saugus, Calif., and Ronald Lee Nehen Sr. of Las Vegas; two brothers, Harry R. Nehen Jr. of Spokane, Wash., and Frederick R. Nehen of Van Nuys, Calif.; and five grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 1-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Jack Samuel Newman

Jack Samuel Newman, 78, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born July 3, 1922, in Hartshorne, Okla. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired government electronics technician, a World War II Army veteran, a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion Post 79 in Oklahoma.

He is survived by his wife, Jewel; one son, Ronald Dale Newman of Chesapeake, Va.; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-5 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Essie Lee Oten

Essie Lee Oten, 57, of Las Vegas died Dec. 24 in Las Vegas. She was born May 18, 1943, in Monroe, La. A resident for 40 years, she was a guest-room attendant at Circus-Circus.

She is survived by two sons, Willie Lee and Anthony Reed, one goddaughter, Sharon Allen, and one sister, Ernestine Brown, all of Las Vegas; two brothers, Fred Madison of Las Vegas and Johnny Madison of Houston; and four grandchildren.

Services were scheduled at noon today in Greater New Jerusalem Baptist Church, 1100 N. D St., followed by burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Charles Otto Posnecker III

Charles Otto Posnecker III, 55, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born June 10, 1945, in Inglewood, Calif. A resident for 32 years, he was an estimator for M&M Construction and was a veteran of the Army Reserves.

He is survived by his wife, Dawn; two sons, Charles Otto Posnecker IV of Las Vegas and John Posnecker of Spokane, Wash.; two stepsons, Keith Fearnow and Joshua Fearnow, and one sister, Sharron Subber, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Private graveside services will be in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.

Arva N. Rowley

Arva N. Rowley, 85, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 14, 1915, in Pleasant Grove, Utah. A resident for 37 years, she was a retired hospital nurse.

She is survived by two daughters, Ranae O'Neal of Henderson and Mary Ann Elifritz of Ogden, Utah; two sons, Robert Rowley of Post Falls, Idaho, and Mark Rowley of Las Vegas; one sister, Dorothy Peterson of Orem, Utah; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will be in Provo City Cemetery, Provo, Utah.

Robert E. Shockley

Robert E. Shockley, 79, of Indianapolis died Saturday in an Indianapolis hospital. She was born March 12, 1921, in Jasper, Ind. A former Las Vegas resident for 12 years, she was a homemaker and a life master of the American Contract Bridge League.

She is survived by one daughter, Janice Lynn Shockley-Pickett of San Juan Capistrano, Calif.; one son, Steven C. Shockley of Indianapolis; and five grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. Flanner & Buchanan Mortuary, Indianapolis, is handling arrangements.

The family suggests donations to St. Vincent Hospice, Indianapolis.

Trinity Annelise Vasquez

Trinity Annelise Vasquez, 26 days, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 5, 2000, in Las Vegas.

She is survived by her parents, Chris and Michelle Vasquez, and one brother, Gabriel Vasquez, all of Henderson.

Visitation is private. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Paul Verderosa

Paul Verderosa, 72, of Las Vegas died Dec. 2 in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 17, 1928, in Las Vegas.

Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Woodlawn Cemetery. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Eva Grave Williams

Eva Grave Williams, 79, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 14, 1921, in Monon, Ind. A resident for 28 years, she was a retired hotel waitress.

She is survived by one daughter, Joyce Layman-Biener of Palm Desert, Calif.; three sons, Robert Johns of Atlanta, Ralph Johns of Las Vegas and Mel Johns of Niles, Mich.; and 19 grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Main.
