A Las Vegas gambling consultant sued to stop a former employer, Go Cash Inc., from placing his name and biographical information on its website after it allegedly reneged on the terms of his employment agreement.
In a Clark County District Court lawsuit, Sid Diamond, who said he was a former sports book director, sued San Jose, Costa Rica-based online gaming company Go Cash, formerly known as Go Call Inc. and its owner, Michael Ruge, alleging they tried to mislead consumers into thinking Diamond was still associated with them by naming him as part of their "Corporate Team."
Diamond, who said he was hired as Go Call's gaming consultant, said he agreed to relocate with his wife from Las Vegas to Central America because the defendants had allegedly agreed to pay him an $8,000 monthly retainer and a substantial amount of stock options.
But Go Call allegedly altered the contract terms after he relocated and tried to renegotiate the terms when Diamond objected to the changes, the suit said. Diamond said he then "decided to cease all consulting activities for Go Call."
The defendants could not be reached for comment.
