Letter: Notch babies get more than they paid in

I enjoy Mike O'Callaghan's column very much and probably agree with him 95 percent of the time. (One exception: flag burning and the Constitution). I also believe the government and the public owe most veterans little more than thanks and respect. Some deserve more than we could ever give them.

Regarding notch babies, I can't understand why people don't get informed before they complain. (In this case, O'Callaghan, too!) Anyone retiring to date will receive far more than they put into Social Security. I, for one, have received more than four times my donation, and still going.
