Letter: Escaping from the pardon mess
Monday, Feb. 26, 2001 | 9:59 a.m.
It was reported that Bill Clinton, when confronted by the Rich pardon, said that Denise Rich's contributions had nothing at all to do with influencing him to pardon Marc Rich and Pincus Green.
He and Hillary have only one forthright way to get out of this problem. They must publicly refund Denise Rich the $450,000 for the Clinton library, the $500,000 for Hillary's Senate campaign and the $1 million for Clinton's presidential campaign, and return the various presents Denise gave them both.
