Colorado-to-Las Vegas charter flights planned

A charter airline will begin nonstop service between Las Vegas and Colorado Springs, Colo., in June.
Champion Air, a subsidiary of Minneapolis-based Northwest Airlines, will offer four flights a week beginning June 1.
Flights will leave Colorado Springs at 1 p.m., arriving at McCarran International Airport at 2 p.m., and returning at 9:20 a.m., arriving in Colorado Springs at 12:35 p.m.
They will be offered Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays through Aug. 31. After that, through Dec. 30, flights will be cut back to Sundays and Thursdays.
Another Northwest subsidiary, MLT Inc., Minnetonka, Minn., is developing vacation packages for Colorado Springs residents with 32 Las Vegas resort partners.
