Adrian Anaya

Adrian Anaya, 18, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 11, 1983, in Juarez, Mexico. A resident for 15 years, he worked in the retail department at the Mandalay Bay and was a student at Desert Pines High School.

He is survived by his parents, Feliciano and Lorenza Anaya, two brothers, Jose Anaya and Esteban Anaya, and one sister, Sandra Yvette Anaya, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation will continue until 8 p.m. today in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 1111 Michael Way.

Pearl M. Arnold

Pearl M. Arnold, 65, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 1, 1935, in Santa Rosa, N.M. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired restaurant owner/operator and a volunteer with St. Rose Dominican Hospital Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband, James R.; two daughters, Deanna Duran of Henderson and Rose Mary Rendon Duran of Denver; two sons, Gilbert Duran and Paul Duran, both of Denver; five sisters; two brothers; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Service will be held in Denver. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Eusebio L. Baria

Eusebio L. Baria, 79, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 13, 1921, in the Philippines. A resident for six years, he was a retired shopping center maintenance worker.

He is survived by his wife, Getrudes Baria; two sons, Andy Baria of Las Vegas and Frailie Baria of the Philippines; four daughters, Evelyn Alcon of the Philippines and Alice Baptisa, Benedicta Bondoc and Benelyn Viernes, all of Las Vegas; one brother, Agripino Baria of the Philippines; 20 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday with a 6 p.m. Rosary in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Mass will be celebrated 11:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Anne Catholic Church, 1901 S. Maryland Parkway, Las Vegas. Burial will be in Palm Memorial Park.

Mark Leonid Berger

Mark Leonid Berger, 72, of Las Vegas died Friday. He was born Jan. 24, 1929, in Russia. A resident for 10 years, he taught at UNLV and Community College of Southern Nevada and was a member of the Las Vegas Fencers Club and U.S. Fencing Association.

He is survived by his wife, Sally.

Norris Bernard Blakemore

Norris Bernard Blakemore, 74, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born April 2, 1926, in Chicago. A resident for four years, he was in the retail sales business, was World War II Army veteran and a member of the Chicago Connections.

He is survived by his companion, Beatrice Rivers of Detroit; and two sisters, Marie Holbrook of Chicago and Eleanor J. Posey of Las Vegas.

A memorial service was scheduled at 3 p.m. today in the LDS Palo Verde Ward, 9011 Hillpointe Road. Nevada Funeral Service, 2983 Fremont St., handled arrangements.

Farincee Ann Boykin

Farincee Ann Boykin, 67, of Las Vegas died Feb. 14 in Las Vegas. She was born March 4, 1933, in Lynchburg, Va. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired court reporter for the state of Hawaii.

She is survived by two sisters, Erie Boykin of Las Vegas and Gloria Houston of Richmond, Va.; and one brother, Charles P. Merritt.

Services will be in Hawaii. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Dennis Brown

Dennis Brown, 58, of Henderson died Sunday in a local care center. He was born Sept. 10, 1942, in Lyman, Neb. A resident for three years, he was a heavy equipment operator, Vietnam War Navy veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his wife, Jacque; two sons, David Brown of Boulder City and Dion Brown of Adelanto, Calif.; one sister, Sherry Brown of Caldwell, Idaho, and Don Brown of Nampa, Idaho; and one grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Additional visitation is scheduled 9-10 a.m. Thursday in Palm, Henderson. Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Julia Fultz

Julia Fultz, 73, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local care center. She was born May 25, 1927, in Chicago. A resident for 38 years, she was an accounting supervisor.

She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Fultz and Susan Lanoue, both of Las Vegas; one son, David Fultz Sr., of Gulfport, Miss.; several sisters and brothers in Chicago; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. services Friday in Nevada Funeral Service, 2983 Fremont St. Burial will be 1:30 p.m. Feb. 23 in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Kinward Ace Hale

Kinward Ace Hale, 70, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born July 4, 1930, in Arkansas. A resident for nine years, he was a retired Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Colleen; one daughter, Sandra Vickery of Port Aransas, Texas; one stepson, John Johnson of Las Vegas; and two stepdaughters, Tina Sample and Tammy Wright, both of Ft. Worth, Texas.

Services were scheduled at 12:30 p.m. today in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Venie Jane Hensley

Venie Jane Hensley, 81, of Henderson died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 22, 1919, in Arkansas. A resident for 11 months, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, Billy Hensley of Lake Head, Calif.; two daughters, Barbara Chaires of Henderson and Juanita Perry of Las Vegas; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Burial will be in Redding Calif. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Frances Elizabeth Hughes

Frances Elizabeth Hughes, 74, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 20, 1926, in Shawnee, Okla. A resident for six years, she was a licensed vocational nurse and a member of the Eagles Women's Auxiliary.

She is survived by three daughters, Diana Givens of Yuba City, Calif., Judy McFarland of Antioch, Calif., and Jonna Gaile of Concord, Calif.; one brother, Robert McVey of Tigard, Ore.; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Julia May Kautz

Julia May Kautz, 70, of Henderson died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born May 31, 1930, in Sultan, Wash. A resident for four years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Scherberth of Pasadena, Calif., and Susan Worley of Henderson; two sons, Tim Kautz of Chehalis, Wash., and Bob Kautz of Rochester, Wash.; one brother, Tim McCarty of Port Orchard, Wash.; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services were 1 p.m. today in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial was in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Riqui Leon

Riqui Leon, 63, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. She was born July 31, 1937, in Chicago. A resident for 20 years, she was a retired casino executive.

She is survived by her companion, Dick Plotnick of Las Vegas; one daughter, Judy Daniel of Pine Bluffs, Wyo.; one son, Ron Leon of Newport Beach, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

Robert Anthony McCormack

Robert Anthony McCormack, 21, of Las Vegas died Sunday in San Bernardino, Calif. He was born Sept. 28, 1979, in Las Vegas. A lifetime resident, he was a laborer in the construction industry and a graduate of Durango High School.

He is survived by his parents, Anthony and Susan McCormack, one sister, Sheena McCormack, his grandparents, Katherine and Gilbert McCormack and James and Nina Pascoe, all of Las Vegas; and his great-grandmother, Louise McCormack of Beaumont, Texas.

Services will be 5 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will be in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Felipa Garza Noyola

Felipa Garza Noyola, 86, of Pahrump died Monday in a local hospice. She was born Aug. 126, 1914, in Laredo, Texas. A resident for one year, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Frances De Marco of Pahrump and Guadalupe Garza of Laredo; three sons, Tony Meza of Timnath, Colo., Aurelio Noyola Sr., of Laredo and Jesus Noyola of Seguin, Texas; 24 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.

Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Margaret M. Osiecki

Margaret M. Osiecki, 82, of Henderson died Monday in a local care center. She was born March 5, 1918, in St. Paul, Minn. A resident for 47 years, she was a retired proof reader for a bank note company.

She is survived by her husband, Leonard F.; one daughter, Colleen McGinty, and one sister, Lois Cavalier, both of Henderson; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Burial will be in Palm Memorial Park

Barbara Irene Perri

Barbara Irene Perri, 85, of Pahrump died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 8, 1915, in El Centro, Calif. A resident for 39 years, she was a retired salesman for a craft store.

She is survived by two sons, Richard Elldrege of Idaho and William Perri of Las Vegas; two daughters, Sallie Koch of Pahrump and Pamela Reguli of Fernley; three sisters, Jean Greenwood of El Cajon, Calif., Lois Jordahl of Upland, Calif., and Dorla Myer of Porterville, Calif.; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. services Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Burial will be in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest.

Susan Lavern Rose

Susan Lavern Rose, 92, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 15, 1908, in Iowa. A resident for 19 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, Bill R. Rose of Las Vegas; one sister, Elizabeth Houchin of Iowa; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Robin Dale Schwenck

Robin Dale Schwenck, 42, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 9, 1959, in Detroit. A resident for 24 years, he was a catering coordinator for Sky Chef's.

He is survived by his wife, Paula; one daughter, Kristen Micharlsen, and one son, Brenden Schwench, both of Henderson; his father, Philip Schwenck; his mother, Myrna Tankersley, and two sisters, Wanda Morris and Samantha Messer, all of Pahrump.

Graveside services were 3 p.m. today in Paradise Memorial Gardens. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., handled arrangements.

Harold Clifford Swanson

Harold Clifford Swanson, 85, of Nevada died Sunday in a local hospice. He was born Jan. 18, 1916, in Minnesota. A resident for 55 years, he was a carpenter, World War II Air Force Veteran and a member of the Eagles.

He was preceded in death by one son, Harold Earl Swanson. He is survived by his wife, Nellie; one son, Ronald Swanson; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Billy E. Taylor

Billy E. Taylor, 76, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born July 16, 1924, in Nebraska. A resident for nine months, he was a rancher.

He is survived by his wife, Carol.

Vickie L. Thompson

Vickie L. Thompson, 50, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 15, 1950, in Lincoln, Neb. A resident for 18 years, she was an accountant for a construction company, vice president of Consumer Credit Council, a member of Women in Construction and was listed in the book of Distinguished Women of Nevada.

She is survived by one daughter, Julia M. Thompson, and one son, Lawrence W. Thompson, both of Las Vegas; her mother and stepfather, Lila Fuller and Bob H. Fuller, both of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; her stepmother, Dolores Thompson; and one sister, Dorris Miller of Lincoln.

A memorial service will be 6:30 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Mattie B. Webb

Mattie B. Webb, 87, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born March 11, 1913, in Fordyce, Arkansas. A resident for 33 years, she was a housewife.

She is survived by her caregiver, Michelle Webb; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 1-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, Downtown.

Melvin Webb

Melvin Webb, 74, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 27, 1926, in Tilton, Ill. A resident for 30 years, he was an electrician in the construction industry, a Marine Corps veteran and a member of IBEW Local 357.

He is survived by one daughter, Patricia Young of Indiana; two sons, David Webb and Melvin Webb, both of California; one brother, Alan Webb of Wells; one sister, Kitty Webb-Leedom of Texas; and four grandchildren.

Rose Weintraub

Rose Weintraub, 96, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. She was born Sept. 15, 1904, in Poland. A resident for nine years, she was a homemaker and a lifetime member of Hadassah.

She is survived by one daughter, Marcia Cohen of Las Vegas; one son, Sidney Weintraub of Cranston, R.I.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Clay Warner Williams

Clay Warner Williams, 56, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born May 4, 1944, in Salt Lake City. A resident for 25 years, he was a truck driver and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Clayette Williams, and one stepson, Roy Southard, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Barry Williams of San Diego; one sister, Kathy Stevens of Mission Viejo, Calif.; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

William D. Williams

William D. Williams, 91, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 16, 1909, in Pittsburgh. A resident for 32 years, he was a retired motel manager, World War II Coast Guard veteran and a 50-year member of Masonic Lodge 220 in Downey, Calif.

He is survived by two sons, Robert Williams of Las Vegas and Richard Williams of Williams, Ore.; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Burial will be in Palm Memorial Park.

Floyd E. Wilson Sr.

Floyd E. Wilson Sr., 61, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born April 1, 1939, in Crowville, La. A resident for 42 years, he was an airport sky cap.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria; two daughters, Leathia Wilson and Christi Wilson and three sons, Terry Cooper, Floyd "Scootar" Wilson Jr., and Ricky Wilson, all of Las Vegas; his father and stepmother, Rev. I.W. and Rebecca Wilson, both of North Las Vegas; one brother, Roy Wilson, and two sisters, Charmayne Batts and Angela Tatum, all of Las Vegas; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 2-8 p.m. Thursday in True Love Missionary Baptist Church, 1941 N. H St. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in True Love. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

John David Yonkey

John David Yonkey, 32, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 20, 1968, in Seoul, Korea. A resident for 26 years, he was a jewelry store manager.

He is survived by his parents, John and Sung Yonkey, and one sister, Lisa Yonkey, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m.-noon Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
