Friday, Feb. 16, 2001 | 9:10 a.m.
How could I forget the day Hank Greenspun called me into his office and said, "I don't want you to say a word about this, but I want you to know I am talking to Mike O'Callaghan about accepting a position at the Sun."
Nothing could have pleased me more. Mike, a longtime friend, is one of the most decent, straightforward persons I have ever known.
What a great day it was for the Sun when he agreed to come on board as executive editor. His very presence brought even greater credibility and integrity to the Sun.
