Letter: Bush repeating Reagan mistake
Friday, Feb. 16, 2001 | 8:51 a.m.
I am totally opposed to this grandstanding tax break proposed by President Bush.
I was brought up to believe that if you incur a debt, you pay it as soon as you can. You do it without buying anything extravagant. You do without until the debt is paid up.
We do not need another Republican administration like President Ronald Reagan's to put us into another tax deficit!
