William S. Boyd, chairman and chief executive of Boyd Gaming Corp., reported a small increase in his holdings in the Las Vegas company's stock.
Boyd reported holdings of 25.92 million shares as of Dec. 31 in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing. That represents 40.77 percent control of the company's stock, and is an increase of about 350,000 shares over his reported holdings on March 1, 2000.
Boyd acquired about 100,000 of the shares in three separate purchases last March. The remainder came from stock options, which are counted in the share total after vesting.
