LINCS program set at Western High
The Clark County School District is holding a celebration of its LINCS 21st Century Community Learning Centers Project today from 5:45 to 7 p.m. at Western High School, 4601 W. Bonanza Road.
The project brings educational programs and recreational activities to the students and parents of Ruth E. Fyfe Elementary, R.O. Gibson Middle and Western High schools. The open house will be followed at 7 p.m. by a program on positive discipline by Consuelo Kickbush. Call 799-7922, ext. 231.
Seminar scheduled at St. Rose Dominican
St. Rose Dominican Hospital is holding a seminar on how to improve the chemotherapy experience 7 p.m. Tuesday at the hospital's Siena Campus, 3001 St. Rose Parkway at Eastern Avenue in Henderson.
A doctor, social worker and nurse will teach participants how to prepare for chemotherapy, how to develop an effective chemo plan and how to manage the physical and emotional side effects.
