Education program is scheduled

Health education sessions and services will be held at the West Flamingo Center, 6255 W. Flamingo Road, an adult recreation center for those age 50 and above.

Here are some upcoming programs:

"Regaining Control of Incontinence through Physical Therapy," 5 p.m. Tuesday, explores nonsurgical options and methods for bladder control. Cost is $3 per person.

"Understanding Cholesterol," is a two-hour seminar that will begin 1 p.m. Feb. 24. Participants are welcome to bring their lab results for blood cholesterol profiles, and the instructor will help them understand their meaning. Cost is $5.

EOB plans event Saturday

The Economic Opportunity Board will host its third annual health fair, "Giving the Gift of Love," 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at 5 Tonopah Ave.

The health fair is designed to expand awareness about community services available to low-income women in Clark County.

Seminar will help consumers

"Fresh Start Checking," a seminar by Consumer Credit Counseling Service, a nonprofit United Way Agency, and Nevada State Bank, will be offered 2 p.m. Monday and 6 p.m. Feb. 27 at the Community College of Southern Nevada Education Classroom, 3650 S. Decatur Blvd., Suite 32.

The program will teach those who have been denied banking privileges how to re-establish and maintain a satisfactory banking relationship.

The Las Vegas Songwriters

will hold a seminar 10:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday in the recreation room of the Cabana Mobile Home Park, 5303 E. Twain Ave. Cost is $25 for members and $40 for nonmembers. For more information, call 223-7255.
