Landlord seeks to evict LV tech company

The landlord of Preference Technologies Inc., a Las Vegas Internet software firm, is suing to evict Preference over $112,488 in unpaid rents since Nov. 1 for its premises at 333 North Rancho Drive.
In a Clark County District Court lawsuit, L.V. Atrium Inc. of Torrance, Calif., said it is entitled to evict Preference, formerly known as Stockup.com Inc., because the company failed to either pay or vacate the premises after it was served a five-day notice to pay rent on Jan. 18.
Preference said in November it laid off more than half its workforce in a cost-cutting effort because of the company's rapid cash burn rate.
Robert Forbuss, Preference Technologies' chief executive, could not be reached for comment on the eviction lawsuit.
