The $3.7 million remote-controlled Predator drone was destroyed, but there were no injuries, the Air Force said.
A pilot on the ground hit the wrong key on a computer control panel and mistakenly cleared the aircraft's random access memory, according to the Air Force Air Combat Command report.
The aircraft lost communication with the ground, stalled and crashed in a remote part of the test range seven miles north of Indian Springs, the report said.
