Henrietta Banks

Henrietta Banks, 55, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 3, 1946, in Riverside, Calif. A resident for 38 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Rayfield; one sister, Devon Chambers of Seattle; one brother, Jeffery Palmer of Las Vegas; two sons, Joseph Kenney Jr. of Albuquerque and Kevin Kenney of Denver; five sisters, Lagulia and Dorothy Palmer, both of Riverside, Barbara Vaughn of San Bernardino, Calif., Alice Louise Keyes of Las Vegas and De Vonn Chambliss of Seattle; and three brothers, Frank Esponisa of North Carolina, Henry Lee Palmer Jr., of Riverside and Donald V. Palmer of Salem, N.C.

Visitation is scheduled 1 until 3 p.m. services Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Elizabeth Grace Bates

Elizabeth Grace Bates, 77, of Las Vegas died Dec. 21 in Las Vegas. She was born March 2, 1924, in Arcada, Calif. A resident for 17 years, she was retired.

She is survived by three sons, Dale Thatcher of Kingman, Ariz., Howard Thatcher of Kottage Grove, Tenn., and Richard Roy of Olympia, Wash.; two daughters, Karen Ramsdell of Las Vegas and Terry Roundles of Ontario, Calif.; one brother, Lehman Elliott Jr., of California; 20 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services are private. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, handled arrangements.

Palmer Berry

Palmer Berry, 75, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. He was born Aug. 30, 1926, in Warren, Ohio. A resident for 36 years, he was a retired World War II Navy veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his wife, Alexandria "Sue"; two sons, Alexander Berry and Richard Berry; two daughters, Sharon DeMaise and Susan Nagata; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Daniel 'Dewey' Colich

Daniel "Dewey" Colich, 68, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 10, 1933, in Duluth, Minn. A resident for 14 years, he was a bar owner.

He is survived by his wife, Adele; three sons, Mark Alan Colich of Sacramento, Daniel Joseph of Chanhassen, Minn., and Christopher John of Las Vegas; one sister, Dorothy Kovich of Duluth; one brother, Steve Colich of St. Paul, Minn.; and four grandchildren.

Services were scheduled at 1 p.m. today in St. Simeon Church, 3950 S. Jones Blvd. Visitation is scheduled 4-7:30 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. prayer service in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

William Dale Cook

William Dale Cook, 92, of Bullhead City, Ariz., died Saturday in Bullhead City. He was born Aug. 12, 1909, in Abo, Mo. A resident for many years, he was a manager at Safeway, a member of Masons 32, Lions Club and Kiwanis Club.

He is survived by his wife, Irene; two daughters, Dorothy Sutton of North Carolina and Lynn Del Mastro of Huntington Beach, Calif.; one son, Ernest Hartwig of Oregon; one sister, Lena Bohannon of California; three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to an 11 a.m. service Saturday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Mausoleum, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.

Florence Ellen Davis

Florence Ellen Davis, 79, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 5, 1922, in Great Bend, Kan.

He is survived by one daughter, Janice Juergensen of Las Vegas; two brothers, Larry Willard of Manhattan, Kan., and Lloyd Willard of Glendale, Ariz.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. Services and burial will be in Santa Fe Springs, Calif. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, handled arrangements.

Anthony DeAngelis

Anthony DeAngelis, 79, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 19, 1922, in Philadelphia. A resident for six years, he was a retired deli owner-operator and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Carmela; four sons, Anthony DeAngelis and Robert DeAngelis, both of Las Vegas, and Ronald DeAngelis and Steven DeAngelis, both of Henderson; two daughters, Marianne Dodge of Henderson and Darlene Schriefer of Las Vegas; one sister, Theresa Mattoccio of Pennsauken, N.J.; and 12 grandchildren.

Angel Garcia

Angel Garcia, 78, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. He was born Nov. 7, 1924, in Havana. A resident for 42 years, he was a hotel bartender.

He is survived by two sons, Angel A. Garcia Jr. and George Garcia, and two daughters, Maria A. Byrnes and Maricel C. Rodriguez, all of Las Vegas; two brothers, Gabriel Garcia and Esac Garcia, and two sisters, Rosa Garcia and Palmira Garcia, all of Cuba; and 11 grandchildren.

A memorial service was scheduled at 11 a.m. today in Calvary Chapel of Spring Valley, 7175 W. Oquendo Road. Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive, handled arrangements.

Joe C. Hernandez Sr.

Joe C. Hernandez Sr., 84, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. He was born Aug. 6, 1917, in Tehachapi, Calif. A resident for 82 years, he retired as a truck driver for Union Pacific Railroad after 40 years and was a member of Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employees.

He is survived by two sons, Joe C. Hernandez Jr. and Manuel Hernandez, two daughters, Laura Lemos and Helen Martinez, and one sister, Adelaide Cabrera, all of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to noon services Saturday at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Dorothea Marie Hunter

Dorothea Marie Hunter, 92, of Henderson died Sunday in Henderson. She was born Nov. 19, 1909, in Little Rock, Ark. A resident for 18 years, she was a retired dental assistant.

Mary C. Jones

Mary C. Jones, 64, of Las Vegas died Dec. 21 in a local hospice. She was born Aug. 19, 1937, in Canada. A resident for 14 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, Michael J. Jones and John K. Jones; one daughter, Katherine A. Haynie; and three grandchildren.

Pablo G. Landeros

Pablo G. Landeros, 33, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 28, 1968, in Mexico. A resident for 30 years, he was an air conditioning technician.

He is survived by his wife, Norma; two stepdaughters, Lisa Rocha and Monique Rocha, his mother, Dominga Landeros, four sisters, Hortencia Jauregue, Alma Galvan, Maricela Landeros and Olga Landeros, and three brothers, Alfredo Landeros, Antonio Landeros and Ruben Landeros, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today and 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 12:30 p.m. Sunday in Palm Chapel, Main. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

William Wayne McGehee

William Wayne McGehee, 75, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 22, 1926, in Flint, Mich. A resident for six months, he was a retired restaurateur and a retired employee of General Motors.

He is survived by his wife, Marie; two daughters, Brenda McGehee of Las Vegas and Linda Durge of Flint, Mich.; one son, Charles Nagy of Burton, Mich.; one sister, Helen Hourtienne of Millington, Mich.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m. Saturday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Burial will be in Flint.

Sandra Nichols-St. Benno

Sandra Nichols-St. Benno, 56, of Las Vegas died Dec. 17 in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 6, 1945, in Massachusetts. She was a resident for more than 35 years.

She is survived by her father, Harry; one brother, Harry W. Nichols; and three sisters, Joanne Lee Nichols, Ethel Jones, Carolyne LaPointe.

Martin A. Piceno

Martin A. Piceno, 34, of Las Vegas died Dec. 14 in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 2, 1967, in Mexico. A resident for 10 years, he was a laborer at Tejas Underground.

He is survived by his wife, Racheal; one stepson, Timothy Fittro, two stepdaughters, Audriauna Fittro and Tamara Pingatore, and two sons, Martin Piceno Jr., and Brian Piceno, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation was scheduled noon until a 3 p.m. rosary today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. A private burial followed.

Joseph Raucci, 63, of Las Vegas died Oct. 27 in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 9, 1938. A longtime resident, he was a security officer.

Wiley Ray

Wiley Ray, 77, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. He was born June 15, 1924, in Houston. A resident for 12 years, he was an automobile mechanic.

He is survived by his wife, Colleen; one son, Larry McMullen of Santa Barbara, Calif.; one daughter, Lisa Hensley of Las Vegas; two sisters, Opal Russell and Magnolia Walters, both of Pharr, Texas; and three grandchildren.

Audrey Dean Rich, 66, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born June 8, 1935, in Felling, England. A resident for 23 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Donald; five daughters, Miriam Chandler of Rexburg, Idaho, and Pamela Rich, Vivian Willis, Denise Rich and Cindy Rich, all of Las Vegas; three sons, Wayne Rich, Darrell Rich and Warren Rich, all of Las Vegas; one brother, Ronald Dean of Centerville, Utah; and 19 grandchildren.

Dorothy Jane Stanley

Dorothy Jane Stanley, 78, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 9, 1923, in Huntington Park, Calif. A resident for two years, she was a retired teacher.

She is survived by one son, Harlee Stanley; three daughters, Terry Stanley, Kay Snyder and Kim White; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Richard Seldon St. Benno, 59, of Las Vegas died Dec. 19 in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 24, 1941, in Illinois. A resident for 30 years, he was a maintenance engineer and an Air Force veteran.

Juanita N. Thomas, 77, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born May 24, 1924, in Los Angeles. A resident for one year, she was a retired machinist in the aerospace industry.

She is survived by two daughters, Denise Ulberg of Acton, Calif., and Betty Ortiz of Las Vegas; two sons, Gary Tolby of the Philippines and Gene Thomas of Arkansas; one sister, Margaret Caster, and one brother, Tony Torrez, both of Ventura, Calif.; 24 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

Philip Trupiano

Philip Trupiano, 77, of Las Vegas died Dec. 20 in Las Vegas. He was born May 20, 1924, in Sicily. A resident for 13 years, he was a retired produce owner and operator.

He is survived by his wife, Frances; one daughter, Donna Schilling of Carson City; one son, Jack Trupiano of Tustin, Calif.; two sisters, Marianna Trupiano and Giuseppa Trupiano, both of Sicily; and three grandchildren.

Pasquale J. Valella, 65, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born June 6, 1936, in Niagara Falls, N.Y. A resident for seven years, he was a meat cutter at Sam's Club.

He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline; two daughters, Elizabeth Gromny and Kimberly Sicurella; and one brother, Sylvester Valella.

Robert L. Yuponco Sr.

Robert L. Yuponco Sr., 61, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born March 6, 1940, in San Francisco. A resident for 30 years, he was a chef and a member of the Culinary Union.

He is survived by five sons, Robert L. Yuponco Jr., of Fremont, Calif., Robert S. Yuponco of Okmulgee, Okla., Cyrus L. Yuponco of Brookings, Ore., and Michael A. Yuponco and Matthew A. Yuponco, both of Las Vegas; and one granddaughter.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.
