Letter: How are Fonda, Walker different?
Friday, Dec. 28, 2001 | 9:12 a.m.
There's something here I don't understand. Maybe someone can explain.
Some want to try John Walker Lindh, the American caught with the Taliban, for treason; some want to try him for aiding terrorists. While he was there with the Taliban, one American was killed by enemy gunfire.
Why is he any worse than Jane Fonda? While she was in North Vietnam, giving aid and comfort to the enemy, some 250 Americans were being killed a week. Why wasn't this treason?
