Letter: Bush should set Walker free — at ground zero
Friday, Dec. 28, 2001 | 9:10 a.m.
Monday, Dec. 31, 1946, was celebrated as the official end of World War II.
My resolution for this coming New Year is to forgive all my enemies foreign and domestic.
Rather than wasting monies on elaborate trials, I propose and wish our president, George W. Bush, will issue his first pardon to so-called "American Taliban" John Walker and set him free at ground zero on the site of the former World Trade Center at zero hour in the year of the Lord, Jan. 1, 2002.
For added effect, the happening should be announced continuously on the billboard of Times Square.
