Joan Aldrich

Joan Aldrich, 82, of Henderson died Tuesday in Henderson. She was born Oct. 7, 1919, in Ireland. A resident for many years, she was a school crossing guard for the city of New York.

She is survived by one daughter, Theresa Aldrich of Henderson.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in the Bronx, N.Y. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Gary Barnard

Gary Barnard, 44, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. He was born Feb. 13, 1957, in Santa Monica, Calif. A resident for five years, he was a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

He is survived by his parents, Richard and Karol Barnard of Henderson; one sister, Jan Cicchetto of Sebastopol, Calif.; and one brother, Phil Barnard of Bullhead City, Ariz.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

The family suggests contributions to the donor's favorite charity.

Bernice Rose Beckler

Bernice Rose Beckler, 69, of Las Vegas died Wednesday. She was born Aug. 18, 1932, in Los Angeles. A resident for 29 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Jack; four daughters, Shelley Giddings of Yucca Valley, Calif., Suzan Nickey and Sandy Anthony, both of Las Vegas, and Sharon Jimerson of Henderson; one brother, Tony Cordova of Lake Elsinore, Calif.; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

David Bernal

David Bernal, 76, of North Las Vegas died Monday in North Las Vegas. He was born July 8, 1925, in Mexico. A resident for 12 years, he was a self-employed cobbler.

He is survived by his wife, Julie; two daughters, Elaine Traina and Lynn Field, both of Los Angeles; one son, David Bernal Jr. of Mexico; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Terris Lamont Carr

Terris Lamont Carr, 2 1/2 weeks, of Las Vegas died Dec. 10 in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 22, 2001, in Las Vegas.

He is survived by his mother, Latrice Carr, and his father, Terris Robinson, both of Nevada; and one sister, Mellisa Robinson of Illinois.

Walter G. Center Jr.

Walter G. Center Jr., 78, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. He was born Dec. 13, 1923, in Watervliet, N.Y. A resident for 16 years, he was a retired Air Force lieutenant colonel, who served 22 years, and worked for United Airlines.

He is survived by one daughter, Jodie Warren of Ventura, Calif.; three sisters, Ethel Center, Elizabeth Preston and Beatrice Cook, all of New York state; and one grandchild.

Melvin D. Chanley

Melvin D. Chanley, 63, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 19, 1938, in Oregon. A resident for 35 years, he was a professional gambler and a Korean War Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by two sons, Christopher Dale Chanley and Craig Fitzgerald Chanley, one daughter, Colleen Gay Chanley, and one brother, Albert Dean Chanley, all of Oregon.

Services were scheduled at 8 a.m. today in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, handled arrangements.

Daniel Colich

Daniel Colich, 68, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 10, 1933, in Duluth, Minn. A resident for 14 years, he was a bar owner-operator.

He is survived by his wife, Adele; three sons, Mark Alan Colich of Sacramento, Daniel Joseph of Chanhassen, Minn., and Christopher John of Las Vegas; one sister, Dorothy Kovich of Duluth, Minn.; one brother, Steve Colich of St. Paul, Minn.; and four grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Friday with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Thomas F. Hand

Thomas F. Hand, 91, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. He was born Oct. 12, 1910, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 24 years, he was a retired purchasing agent in the foundry industry and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 8282.

He is survived by two daughters, Nancy Winberg and Tricia Mare, both of Las Vegas; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Viator's Catholic Church, 2461 E. Flamingo Road. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Bonnie L. Larson

Bonnie L. Larson, 60, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. She was born July 26, 1941, in Iowa. A resident for 11 years, she was a retired waitress.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis L.; two daughters, Renae Biros of Denver and Dawn Graves of Las Vegas; two brothers, Jerry Sollie of Henderson and David Sollie of Denver; five sisters, Vivian Johnson of Hayfield, Minn., Mavis Bartley, Lois Dolan and Sue Apold, all of Austin, Minn., and Janice Tucker of Rochester, Minn.; and two grandchildren.

Private services will be Saturday. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

John LeRoy Leigh

John LeRoy Leigh, 60, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born June 27, 1941, in Cedar City, Utah. A resident for 58 years, he was a retired warehouseman for the Sahara hotel.

He is survived by his wife, Loretta L.; one son, Johnny L. Leigh, one daughter, Deborah L. Garrison, his mother, Dorothy M. Leigh, and one brother, Micheal H. Leigh, all of Las Vegas; one sister, LaWana Stubblefield of Kentucky; and three grandchildren.

Services were scheduled noon today in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial followed in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.

George Link

George Link, 79, of Henderson died Dec. 16 in Henderson. He was born Oct. 17, 1922, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 10 years, he was an electrician at a steel mill, a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Masons.

He is survived by one son, Dale Martin of Granada Hills, Calif.; two daughters, Ellen "Junie" Tagliavia of Las Vegas and Lynn Kobert of Mars, Pa.; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Minna Lohman

Minna Lohman, 83, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born May 26, 1918, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired operator in the communications field.

She is survived by her husband, Julius Lohman of Las Vegas.

Barry Martin

Barry Martin, 61, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born May 12, 1940, in New York City. A resident for 20 years, he was a video software distributor.

He is survived by one son, David Martin of Las Vegas; one sister, Louise Krapes of Northridge, Calif.; and one grandchild.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Friday in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane.

Nellie I. McKee, 95, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. She was born May 12, 1906, in Broadland, Ill. A resident for 51 years, she was a retired hotel hostess.

She is survived by one daughter, Peggy Van Dalen of Las Vegas; one son, Jack Speelman of San Clemente, Calif.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Burial will be private.

Ronald James Munn

Ronald James Munn, 62, of North Las Vegas died Monday in North Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 15, 1939, in Detroit. A resident for 15 years, he was a postal clerk, a Navy and Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou; two sons, Ronald Moskow and Robert Moskow, both of Romeo, Mich.; three daughters, Victoria Lynn Munn of Covington, La., Victoria L. Hessong of Greensboro, N.C., and Deborah Kay Hatfield-Day of Leonard, Mich.; his mother, Elsa Alice Billiet of Sterling Heights, Mich.; one sister, Linda Fisher of Shelby Township, Mich.; and seven grandchildren.

Lindsay Ellen Rich

Lindsay Ellen Rich, 22, of Las Vegas died Dec. 20 in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 5, 1979, in Las Vegas. She was a Green Valley High School graduate and a community volunteer.

She is survived by her parents, Lon and Lori Rich, and two brothers, Brad Rich and Kevin Rich, all of Las Vegas.

Charles A. Riffe

Charles A. Riffe, 72, of Las Vegas died Dec. 17 in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 29, 1929, in Cement, Okla. A resident for 39 years, he was a truck driver and an Army veteran.

He is survived by one sister, Rogene Abney of Oakhurst, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

Susan Marie Rogers

Susan Marie Rogers, 55, of Las Vegas died Nov. 28 in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 17, 1946, in California. A resident for 20 years, she was a bookkeeper.

She is survived by one son, Brian Robinson; one daughter, April Marie Roush-Robinson; and one grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m. Friday in Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Kenna Roman

Kenna Roman, 67, of Overton died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born April 28, 1934, in Payson, Utah. A resident for seven years, she was a data entry operator for 25 years at McDonnell Douglas.

She is survived by her husband, Bill; one son, Jeff Daniel of Spring Lake, Utah; one daughter, Judy Hinkle of Lake Isabella, Calif.; three brothers, Calvin Arthur of Medford, Ore., Ned Lee of Payson and Kenneth of Terra, Utah; three sisters, Louise Hone of Orem, Utah, Dorothy Ann Vincent of Santaquin, Utah, and Mary Jane Roper of Cedar City, Utah; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 10 a.m. service Friday in the LDS Overton 2nd Ward chapel. An additional visitation is scheduled one hour prior to another service at 11 a.m. Saturday in the LDS Spring Lake chapel. Burial will be in Spanish Fork Cemetery. Metcalf Mortuary, 5090 N. Antoinette Salas

Antoinette Salas, 75, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 25, 1926, in Chicago. A resident for six years, she was a retired bookkeeper in the banking industry.

She is survived by her husband, Ysidro; three daughters, Sandra Spiotto and Judith Copack, both of Henderson, and Antoinette Gaglione of Las Vegas; one son, Richard J. Salas of Las Vegas; two sisters, Josephine Schuch and Mary Tubbs, and two brothers, Nicholas Leone and Joseph Leone, all of Chicago; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Friday with a 6:30 p.m. rosary and 9-11 a.m. Saturday with a 10 a.m. service in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow Saturday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Rocky Schulte

Rocky Schulte, 35, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 26, 1965, in Dearborn, Mich. A resident for four years, he was a carpenter.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa; his parents, Charlene Harris and Clarence Schulte, and one sister, Ronda Percy, all of Las Vegas; one brother, Rodney Schulte of North Pole, Alaska.

Eloise I. Thatcher

Eloise I. Thatcher, 88, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 8, 1913, in Mount Vernon, Ohio. A resident for 49 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Margie Fahrenbrink of Henderson; two sons, James L. Cooper of Las Vegas and Tom C. Cooper of Auberry, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Otha Ray Walker, 62, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born April 29, 1939, in Huntsville, Texas. A resident for 36 years, he was a retired hotel bartender.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; two sons, Dwan Walker and Derald Walker, both of Las Vegas; one daughter, Kim Walker of San Bernardino, Calif.; two sisters, Lovie Edwards and Gwen Wiley, and one brother, Markham Walker, all of Houston.
