Man shot in parking lot
A man found shot in the parking lot of a Las Vegas apartment complex Friday morning died a few hours later.
Witnesses told Metro Police a shot was heard about 6 a.m. Friday and saw a man on the ground at the complex in the 1600 block of North Pecos Road near Lake Mead Boulevard. The man, who has not been identified, was taken to University Medical Center and died at 10:45 a.m. Friday.

Car stopped; men arrested
Two men were taken into custody and charged with possession of stolen property and numerous guns Friday afternoon.
Carlos Marquez, 20, and Pete Jaurigue, 26, were pulled over when police suspected they were driving a stolen car. They were taken into custody when the Metro Police officer thought they were acting suspicious, police said. Police found a sawed-off, fully loaded 12-gauge shotgun and four other stolen handguns in the car.
Police said the driver was wearing a bullet resistant vest. They said two more stolen guns and various other items believed stolen were found at a hotel where the men were staying. Police also found vehicle identification and insurance forms in the room.
Police are investigating the suspects in connection with at least two auto burglaries.
