Desert Passage in new litigation with tenants
Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2001 | 11:06 a.m.
The Desert Passage mall at the Aladdin resort sued to recover alleged unpaid rents and other fees from its tenant Manrico Cashmere USA Inc.
The mall on the Las Vegas Strip seeks court approval to sell Manrico Cashmere's inventory and use the proceeds to offset its tenant's alleged unpaid utility and marketing bills, property taxes and late charges.
Separately, the Jewelers of Nevada Inc. sued Desert Passage, alleging it "lost extensive business and profits" when the mall failed to generate a "promised amount of foot traffic, sustain a level of promotions and ensure the continued presence of certain anchor tenants."
The defendants could not be reached.
