Feds want flight rights divested

WASHINGTON -- The Justice Department urged transportation officials on Monday to reject a proposed alliance between American Airlines and British Airways, unless the two carriers sell some landing and takeoff rights to increase competition.
Antitrust prosecutors at the Justice Department strongly recommended the rejection of the deal unless there were divestitures of the rights to at least 126 London-U.S. flights each week.
