Letter: Let homeless pick up trash
Friday, Dec. 7, 2001 | 10:05 a.m.
We could easily solve our highway trash problem at the same time we solve the homeless people situation. All that needs to be done is offer the homeless a place to stay and a meal in return for a day's work picking up trash on public property.
If those who are able to work refuse to do so, send them on a one-way trip up the highway. We should learn from a communist document that states, "He who does not work, neither shall he eat."
