Manuel E. Aguilar, 78, of Henderson died Nov. 23 in a local hospital. A sheet metal worker, he was born Dec. 20, 1922, in California.
He is survived by his wife, Delores; three daughters, Cris Estrada of Henderson, Corinne Pente of Nevada and Carla Salcedo of California; two sons, Dennie Aguilar and Manny Aguilar Jr., and one sister, Delores Medina, all of California; two brothers, Carlos Aguilar of Henderson and Eddie Aguilar of California; and 13 grandchildren.

Tony Apollo, 73, of Las Vegas died Aug. 19 in McKinney, Texas. He was born March 8, 1928, in St. Louis. A resident for 29 years, he was a beverage supervisor at Treasure Island, Mirage and Bally's.
He is survived by three daughters, Patricia Pyle of Torrance, Calif., Brenda Grijalva of Longmont, Colo., and Debbie Baccarra of San Jose, Calif.; one son, Gary Apollo of Las Vegas; three sisters, Francie Parker and Mary Zahner, both of St. Louis, and Lena Garcia of El Cajon, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Dorothy Barbero, 78, of Boulder City died Friday in a local hospital. She was born April 5, 1923, in New York City. A resident for three years, she was a homemaker.

David Lee Callahan, 68, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born July 10, 1933, in Indianapolis. A resident for 39 years, he was in the real estate business.
He is survived by his wife, Helga; one daughter, Monika Callahan of Las Vegas; four sons, Eric Callahan of Las Vegas, Danny Callahan and Edward Callahan, both of Indianapolis, and David Callahan of Tennessee; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be 6 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Joe Campbell
Joe Campbell, 75, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 24, 1926, in Melbourne, Australia. A resident for three months, he owned a chemical manufacturing and sales company and served in the Australian Navy during World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Leilani; and one sister, Patricia Bywater of Melbourne.

Judith Coppers-Manone
Judith Coppers-Manone, 61, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born April 18, 1940, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for five years, she was a customer service representative for an insurance company.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph M. Manone; one daughter, Chris Judith Baylis of Huntington, N.Y.; one son, William Coppers of Henderson; and two grandchildren.

Maxine L. Etheredge
Maxine L. Etheredge, 77, of North Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born March 6, 1924, in Los Angeles. A resident for five years, she was a retired civil service supply clerk, a member of the Eagles, American Legion, Moose, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Ladies Auxiliary Fleet Reserve.
She is survived by her husband, William; three daughters, Katherine Grant of North Port, Fla., Kristin Zych of North Las Vegas and Linda Sutton of Paradise, Calif.; one brother, Donald Betsworth of Torrance, Calif.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Guerrero of Los Banos, Calif., Sister of Mercy Oliva G. Benavente and Bernadita Aguon Quinata, both of Guam; four brothers, George G. Benavente of Everett, Wash., Tomas G. Benavente of Oceanside, Calif., Anthony G. Benavente of Twentynine Palms, Calif., and Lorenzo G. Benavente of Lathrop, Calif.; 26 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She is survived by four daughters, Nora Fernandez, Stephanie Trujillo, JoAnn Salas and Lucy Diaz, all of Las Vegas; four sons, Eloy Fernandez, Albert Fernandez and Tony Fernandez, all of Las Vegas, and Jerry Fernandez of San Diego; one sister, Bertha Medina of Santa Fe, N.M.; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Verdell E. Hage, 62, of Pahrump died Nov. 23 in Pahrump. He was born Jan. 23, 1939, in North Dakota. A resident for eight years, he was a heavy equipment owner-operator and a Marine Corps veteran.
He is survived by his companion, Carol Greer; three sons, John Hage of Carlsbad, Calif., James Hage of Escondido, Calif., and Jeff Hage of North Dakota; his stepparents, Mr. and Mrs. Olav Overvold of North Dakota; four sisters, Helen Lindlanf and Elizabeth Berg, both of North Dakota, Solveg Bentson of Minnesota and Ardis Lebak of Washington state; two brothers, Phil Overvold and David Overvold, both of North Dakota; and four grandchildren.

Donald P. Hepp, 69, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 19, 1932, in Chicago. A resident for eight years, he was a retired marketing consultant and a Korean War Army veteran and Purple Heart recipient.
He is survived by one son, Alan D. Hepp of Las Vegas; one daughter, Donna Manske of Chicago; and five grandchildren.

James Hunter
James Hunter, 81, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 20, 1920, in Clarksdale, Miss. A resident for six years, he was a painter in the construction industry and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by one daughter, Queenie Reeves of Las Vegas; one brother, Richard Hunter; and one sister, Magnolia Harris of New Jersey.
Services will be private. Burial will follow in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.

John A. Jenson, 60, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. A resident for 12 years, he was born Nov. 2, 1941.

Arthur Monroe Key, 65, of Henderson died Monday in Henderson. He was born Dec. 13, 1935, in Indiana. A resident for 26 years, he was a mortgage company inspector.
He is survived by his wife, Rose; two sons, Patrick Key and James Key; and four grandchildren.
Services were scheduled at 10 a.m. today in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
Evans Daniel LaFond
Evans Daniel LaFond, 76, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 24, 1925, in Michigan. A resident for 16 years, he was a maintenance engineer for the City of Hope, a World War II Army veteran, lifetime member, past post commander and Los Angeles County commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by three sons, Evans J. LaFond of Seligman, Ariz., John LaFond of Muskegon, Mich., and Michael LaFond of Covina, Calif.; one daughter, Kimberly Cook of Las Vegas; one brother, Donald LaFond, and one sister, Victoria Garlatz, both of California; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 10:40 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.

Luis Mario Lopez, 51, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born April 25, 1950, in Mexico. A resident for 36 years, he was a landscaper at the Excalibur hotel and a member of the Teamsters Union.
He is survived by his wife, Maria Beatriz; one son, Luis Lopez Jr and Erika L. Alsbury, both of North Las Vegas; three brothers, Franciso A. Lopez, Oscar B. Lopez and Edwardo N. Lopez, and four sisters, Olga Pena, Estela Tinoco, Gloria Renova and Rosa Reyes, all of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Juan Martinez Lopez, 76, of Las Vegas died Friday in Henderson. He was born Nov. 24, 1925, in Mexico. A resident for 44 years, he was a retired laborer for the railroad.
He is survived by two sons, George Lopez and Salatore Lopez, and one daughter, Lina Lavva, all of Long Beach, Calif.; two daughters, Juanita Ponce and Celia Robert, both of Las Vegas; numerous brothers and sisters, all of Mexico; 17 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Eldred 'Turk' Mahr
Eldred "Turk" Mahr, 78, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born May 31, 1923, in Canton, Ill. A resident for six months, he was a retired heavy equipment operator for the Griffith Co. and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Helen; four daughters, Cathy Brown of Las Vegas, Christine Hancy of North Glen, Colo., Cecilia Arnold of Azusa, Calif., and Carol Magdaleno of Devore, Calif.; one sister, Melba Jean DeRenzy of Canton, Ill.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley; two daughters, Lynne Fishbein of Highland Park, Ill., and Elyse Speen of Phoenix; one son, Fred Watstein of Highland Park; one sister, Sylvia Schneier of Brooklyn, N.Y.; two brothers, Frederick Watstein of Monroe Township, N.J., and Jerome Watstein of Albany, N.Y.; and four grandchildren.

Jennifer Yi, 20, and Ji-Yong Yi, 16, died Monday in Las Vegas. Jennifer was born Feb. 20, 1981, in Las Vegas and Ji-Yong was born March 18, 1985, in Korea. Jennifer was a coordinator in the computer industry and Ji-Yong was a student.
They are survived by their parents, Hwa and Janette Yi of Las Vegas.
