Las Vegas Internet company Cenicola-Helvin Enterprises said today it acquired 30 percent of Port Cyber Inc., a Las Vegas logo, advertising copy and website producer and will use its resources to develop a website called VegasUNITY.com.
Mark Cenicola, president and chief executive of Cenicola-Helvin, declined to reveal terms of the deal, which closed on Dec. 1.
"Since the Sept. 11 attacks, the country has begun uniting more and more. This website is aimed at giving the Las Vegas community an opportunity to voice their opinions on a message board and also provide information about utilities regulation," he said.
He said the deal also allows Cenicola-Helvin, which has been operating since March out of Port Cyber Technical Center, an office complex owned by Port Cyber, to continue its tenure there until the end of 2003.
