Vegas software firm sued by customer
A Canadian Internet gambling website operator sued a Las Vegas software developer, alleging it failed to have ProPoker's website in operation by the end of May after it was paid more than $300,000.
Quebec-based ProPoker Inc. sued MXM Media Services Inc. and its president, Brian Schindel, in Clark County District Court, also alleging they overcharged Propoker for equipment and software and allegedly illegally used its software to procure contracts with its rivals.
ProPoker said it faces the "real probability of being forced out of business" because, "without a website, the hundreds of thousands of dollars that have been invested, the advertising that has been undertaken, and the rights of the shareholders of ProPoker and its related entities will all be ruined."
The defendants could not be reached for comment.
