2nd Race -- High Thunder -- Espinoza on Baffert trainee for owners Bob & Beverly Lewis, needs crafty trip from outside post at the mile, still dangerous. Ibn Al Hatham -- British-bred hails from Godolphin Racing, Inc., stable, Smith tabbed on Harty trainee, connections to be respected. Value Play -- Natures Candy
3rd Race -- Sehra -- Solis scales Bray trainee, draws good inner post for the turf route, should get a catbird trip here. Thunder Serenade -- Draws good post for full field on green, Nakatani atop this one of twoCanani-trained 'hidden entries', could trip out. Value Play -- Mabel Kent
4th Race -- Vaca Gold -- Well spotted in long sprint claimer, Castro aboard Sumja trainee, dangerous Northern California-based team. Copelan's Eagle -- Hard-knocking gelding competitive at this level, Berrio/Avila tandem, good post for the distance. Value Play -- Sam's Tango
5th Race -- Lighten Up Tiny -- Espinoza on Baffert trainee here, stretch-runner needs clever trip from rail post, makes late impact. Vida Dancer -- Baze lands here on Sadler trainee, draws good box for this, a factor throughout. Value Play -- Kipper's Kitten
6th Race -- Cocky -- Pincay scales Frankel trainee, good post in full field for turf mile, good trip puts this guy right there. Riverside -- Draws good rail post, Stevens atop Shirreffs trainee for owner Thoroughbred Corporation, another that could trip out. Value Play -- Jokerman
7th Race -- Cindy's Hero -- Last year's Debutante winner returns to main here, Gomez stays on Hofmans trainee, had tighteners should be ready to fire now. Notable Career -- Another who had success last seaside season, Flores aboard Baffert trainee for owner Golden Eagle Farm, also contender. Value Play -- Elaine's Angel
8th Race -- Baltimore -- Well-regarded gelding has been disappointment so far, Desormeaux sticks with Ellis trainee, we'll give one more chance for graduation here. Cruise Missile -- Pedroza on Canani trainee, draws good box on sprint maiden-claimer, might Cruise in for diploma here. Value Play -- Commander Lee
