Don Farrell Anhder Jr.

Don Farrell Anhder Jr., 72, of Alamo and North Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 29, 1928, in Alamo. A lifelong resident of Southern Nevada, he was a carpenter at the Nevada Test Site.

He is survived by his wife, Nadine; two daughters, Kathy Anhder and Lori Rodowick, both of Las Vegas; two sons, Don Anhder III of Alamo and Dennis Anhder of Las Vegas; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Additional visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 2 p.m. services Wednesday in the Alamo LDS chapel. Burial will follow in Richardville Cemetery, Alamo.

Dorothy Mason Clark

Dorothy Mason Clark, 87, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 1, 1913, in Plattsburgh, N.Y. A resident for 40 years, she was a homemaker and a member of the Lake Mead Senior Center.

Burial will be in Eden Vale Memorial Park. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Rachel Fernandez

Rachel Fernandez, 66, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local convalescent center. She was born March 18, 1925, in New York. A resident for 13 years, she worked in insurance claims for eight years.

She is survived by two daughters, Heather Ruiz of Las Vegas and Dawn Hofler of New York; two sons, Dorian Ruiz and Steven Melendez, both of Las Vegas; and six grandchildren.

Services are pending. Neptune Society of Nevada, 3110 E. Sunset Road, is handling arrangements.

Susan C. Firth

Susan C. Firth, 50, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born April 30, 1951, in Washington, D.C. A resident for 25 years, she was the leader of the Dummkopfs band, which performs at the Excalibur and Mount Charleston Lodge, and was a member of the Musicians Union.

She is survived by her husband, Brian; two daughters, Beverley Murphy of Las Vegas and Kerry Firth of Miami; one son, Michael Firth, one brother, Robert Cornelius, and two sisters, Barbara Reed and Lorraine Hanna, all of Las Vegas.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Christ Church Episcopal, 2100 S. Maryland Parkway. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

The family suggests donations to Best Friends Animal Shelter, Kanab, Utah.

Dorothy Marie Galluccio

Dorothy Marie Galluccio, 66, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born July 4, 1935, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 40 years, she was a retired administrative secretary for an accounting firm.

She is survived by two nephews, Michael Galluccio of Middletown, N.J., and Robert Galluccio of Palm Bay, Fla.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic Church, 3050 Alta Drive. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Luther E. 'Gene' Glover

Luther E. "Gene" Glover, 69, of Fallon died Saturday in a local hospice. He was born Sept. 21, 1931, in Amarillo, Texas. A resident for eight years, he was a plumbing and pipefitting welder for 40 years, a Korean War Navy veteran and a member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 525.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Doris; two sons, Paul Glover of Fallon and Wes Glover of Las Vegas; one brother, Harold Glover of Barstow, Calif.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. Valley Memorial Crematory, 4855 W. Desert Inn Road, is handling arrangements.

Harry Hall

Harry Hall, 90, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born July 31, 1911, in England. A resident for 39 years, he was a retired superintendent of painting and decorating at the Las Vegas Hilton.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Crossland Hall; four daughters, Beryl Hillis of Simi Valley, Calif., Madeleine Hall-Goossens of Escondido, Calif., and Greta H. Rogers and Sandra Anderson, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Vincent Hall of Las Vegas; four sisters, June Scholes of Las Vegas and Rene Woods, Pat Webster and Bertha Forshaw, all of England; 18 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne. Graveside services will follow at 2 p.m. Thursday in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.

Martina Marie Harkins

Martina Marie Harkins, 62, of Las Vegas died June 30 in a local hospice. She was born Jan. 2, 1939, in Ottumwa, Iowa. A resident for several years, she was an accountant.

She is survived by three daughters, Jennifer Farley of Calumet, Mich., Josephine Fisher of Round Rock, Texas, and Jacquelynn Fisher of Norfolk, Va.; two sisters, Mary Fry of California and Kathleen Klein of Gahanna, Ohio; and three grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. Iowa services are pending.

Charlotte L. Holt

Charlotte L. Holt, 73, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 2, 1928, in Centerville, Iowa. A resident for 30 years, she was a retired nurse's aide.

She is survived by one daughter, Evaline Peterson of Las Vegas; three sons, Mikel J. Holt and Mark Scott Holt, both of Las Vegas, and Gregory Holt of Seattle; and four grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2 p.m. until a 6 p.m. service Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Thursday in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest.

Carrie Joann Hutchinson

Carrie Joann Hutchinson, 49, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. A homemaker, she was born June 2, 1952, in Philadelphia.

She is survived by her husband, Victor; three sons, Jesse Nelson of Vacaville, Calif., and David Harris and Victor Hutchinson Jr., both of Las Vegas; one daughter, Olivia Butler, and her mother, Jessie Smith, both of Las Vegas.

Graveside services were scheduled at 11 a.m. today in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., handled arrangements.

George L. Lind

George L. Lind, 61, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born May 25, 1940, in Huntington Park, Calif. A resident for 13 years, he was a retired electrician and a porter supervisor at the Barbary Coast for four years.

He is survived by his wife, Helen; one daughter, Trina Oder of Enid, Okla.; three sons, John Lind and George Holderman, both of Enid, and Jerry Gomez of Las Vegas; his parents, Loretta and Tom Thompson, and one brother, Leonard Moudy, both of Spiro, Okla.; one sister, Gene Burns of Salt Lake City; and seven grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Wednesday and 8-11:30 a.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Graveside services will be noon Thursday in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Jeanne Isabelle Mayfield, 88, of Henderson, died Sunday in Henderson. She was born March 31, 1913, in Saskatchewan. A resident for 31 years, she was a homemaker.

Rose Miller

Rose Miller, 92, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 23, 1908, in LaPorte, Ind. A resident for 12 years, she was a retired secretary for a food distributor.

A memorial service will be 5 p.m. Wednesday in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane.

Dorothy Mills

Dorothy Mills, 65, of Henderson died Friday in a local hospice. She was born June 18, 1935, in Kansas City, Kan. A resident for six years, she was an electronics assembler.

She is survived by her husband, Billy; two sons, Scott Mills of California and Steven Mills of Oregon; one daughter, Leslie Mills, one brother, Gary Jones, and one sister, Barbara Kruse, all of California; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Larry Allen Mitchell

Larry Allen Mitchell, 42, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born June 18, 1959, in Globe, Ariz. A resident for 29 years, he was a driver for a concrete company for 10 years and a member of Teamsters Local 631.

He is survived by his companion, Deborah French of Las Vegas; his mother, Cathrine Sharp of Arizona; seven sisters, Linda Mitchell, Vickie Shelton and Cheryl Hobbs, all of Arizona, Melissa Spencer and Carrie Grill, both of Las Vegas, and Lynn Williams and Katie Spain, both of California; three brothers, Rocky Shaw and Jack Williams, both of California, and Billy Mitchell of Iowa.

Thomas D. Murphy

Thomas D. Murphy, 72, of Boulder City died Saturday in a local hospice. He was born May 22, 1929, in Youngstown, Ohio. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired quality engineer in the aerospace industry, a World War II and Korean War Army veteran, a member of the Boulder City Elks Lodge and the American Legion.

He is survived by one sister, Mary Ann Buday of Youngstown; and one brother, Martin J. Murphy of Poland, Ohio.

Deni Lor Noble

Deni Lor Noble, 67, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local health care center. She was born Jan. 1, 1934, in Phoenix. A resident for five years, she was a hotel cocktail waitress.

Bartholomew Oliver Sr.

Bartholomew Oliver Sr., 89, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born March 21, 1912, in Russelville, Ky. A resident for two years, he was a retired electrician.

He is survived by one son, Bart Oliver of Las Vegas; one brother, Jerome Oliver of Tucson, Ariz.; and seven grandchildren.

Beatrice 'Bunny' Paddock

Beatrice "Bunny" Paddock, 61, of Henderson died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 20, 1940, in Rockford, Ill. A resident for 45 years, she was a retired home health care secretary.

She is survived by her husband, Clyde B.; two daughters, Jackie Chappell and Melanie Bayliss, both of Henderson; three sons, Ron Paddock and Derek Paddock, both of Henderson, and Matthew Padgett of San Jose, Calif.; one sister, Gem Willey of Reno; one brother, Dick Messinger of Las Vegas; and 17 grandchildren.

Frank Rabbio

Frank Rabbio, 94, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. A laborer, he was born March 11, 1907, in Massachusetts.

He is survived by one son, Salvatore Rabbio of Harwick, Mass.

Joe Riskus

Joe Riskus, 74, of Enoch, Utah, died Sunday in Enoch. He was born Aug. 3, 1927, in Mount Harris, Colo. A former Las Vegas resident, he was a bus driver for Nellis Air Force Base, a veteran of the Merchant Marines and a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1753.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane; one son, Dennis Cripe of Las Vegas; one daughter, Linda Joyce Brigner of Cedar City, Utah; one brother, Stanley Riskus of Craig, Colo.; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 9 a.m. Wednesday in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Deirdre Elise Ruffin

Deirdre Elise Ruffin, 35, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 22, 1966, in Boston. A resident for 23 years, she was a retail cashier.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Denese, and one brother, George Jr.

She is survived by two daughters, Joi Hollis and Chante Sheppard, two sons, Edward Hollis and Rodrick Gant, her parents, Doretha Blackley and George Ruffin Sr., and one brother, Keith Ruffin, all of Las Vegas;

Rose E. Smutko, 80, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born April 24, 1921, in South Amboy, N.J. A resident for 10 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, Bruce Pappas of Las Vegas and Wayne Pappas of Raleigh, N.C.; two sisters, LaVern Janes of Brick, N.J., and Joan Brown of Barrington, Ill.; and three grandchildren.

Pamelia Ruth Vatrano, 63, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 28, 1937, in Canada. A resident for 14 years, she was a poker dealer.

She is survived by three daughters, Connie Lewis, Teresa Lewis and Loren Lewis, all of Las Vegas; one son, William Vatrano, and one sister, Elaine Marie Foster, both of Massachusetts; and one brother, Richard Steeves of Illinois.

Services will be 8 p.m. Wednesday in Apache Springs Clubhouse, Spring Mountain and Fort Apache roads. Burial will be private. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Allie Thomas Weigand

Allie Thomas Weigand, 86, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born March 1, 1916, in Oklahoma. A resident for nine years, he was a retired truck driver, a Navy veteran and lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his wife, Leta; three sons, Lewis Weigand of Nebraska, Jim Weigand of Missouri and Larry Weigand of Kansas; one daughter, Sandra McHaley of Arizona; two stepsons, Bob Sinks of Kansas and Bruce Sinks of Washington state; one stepdaughter, Kathryn Martin of California; two sisters, Emma Willaby and Lou Cook, both of Oklahoma; one brother, Harry Weigand of Texas; 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Shirley Werber, 81, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born May 14, 1920, in Detroit. A resident for 23 years, she was a retired manicurist.

She is survived by three daughters, Marcia Werber and Mindy Polasky, both of Henderson, and Joanne Sanner of Palmdale, Calif.; one son, Daniel Werber of Oak Park, Mich.; and six grandsons.

She is survived by her husband, Damon; her mother, Elizabeth Freeman of Las Vegas; and one sister, Michelle Fugate of Arizona.

Charles Wimmer

Charles Wimmer, 71, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. He was born Aug. 15, 1930, in Bayard, Neb. A resident for 25 years, he was a retired machine shop foreman at Sandia National Labs, a design draftsman at the Nevada Test Site, a Korean War Army veteran and a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans.

He is survived by his wife, Georgie; three sons, Charles L. Wimmer of Parker, Colo., and Kenneth E. Wimmer and Cameron Scott Wimmer, both of Albuquerque, N.M.; one daughter, Cathy Jo Sweet of Las Vegas; one brother, James Wimmer of Mitchell, Neb.; two sisters, Betty Stufft of Scotts Bluff, Neb., and Charlene Heinrichs of Eureka, S.D.; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest.
