CCSN opens its second season Saturday night

Twenty women athletes will open the Community College of Southern Nevada's second intercollegiate soccer season at home at 7 p.m. Saturday against Riverside CC.
Returning as sophomores for CCSN coach Ric Grennel's team are strikers Claire Howard (Clark) and Amber Woodward (Bishop Gorman); fullbacks Angel Lewis (Valley), Melissa Recchio (Bonanza) and Sarah Watson (Cheyenne); midfielders Dawn De La Gtorre (Gorman), Desiree Martinez (Valley) and Marissa Stevens (Palo Verde); and goalkeeper Kelly Smith (Cimarron-Memorial).
The Coyotes' 22-game season feature 14 home games at the North Las Vegas Cheyenne Sports Complex. CCSN competes in the 11-member Scenic West Athletic Conference.
