Benefit baseball game scheduled at Cashman
A benefit baseball game between firefighters and police officers will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Cashman Field, prior to a Las Vegas 51s game.
Admission is $8 and includes a barbecue and entry into the 51s game later that afternoon.
The firefighters are playing for the Clark County Firefighters Burn Foundation and Metro Police will donate to the Injured Police Officers Fund. Call 889-2894.
Galleria at Sunset to host free fair
The Galleria at Sunset mall is hosting a free back-to-school fair Saturday and Sunday for parents and students to receive back-to-school information.
The Clark County School District will provide zoning information, transportation, student registration and special programs. It also will provide free immunizations and answer questions about the new school year.
Community College of Southern Nevada and the University of Phoenix will provide information about registration and various programs offered.
Other participants include Odyssey Charter School, Henderson Police, Henderson Parks and Recreation, Safekey and Nevada Missing Children's Clearing House. Call 434-0202.
Coasters to appear at supper club
The Coasters will be at Rick's Supper Club, 15 E. Lake Mead Drive at 4 p.m. Sunday, a fund-raiser to benefit the Moulin Rouge Museum and Cultural Center. Admission is $100, which includes dinner, dancing, an auction, prizes and a surprise guest artist. RSVP by calling 648-7344.
Golf tournament to benefit families
A golf tournament to benefit Fallon Families First will begin Friday with registration at 6:45 a.m. at Angel Park Golf Club, 100 S. Rampart Blvd.
The mission of the group is to ensure patient and family services are available to those immediately affected by the leukemia cluster in the Fallon area. For more information, call 595-4663.
The Southern Nevada Arts Council
and American Business Women's Association will host their third annual Leadership/Educational Forum 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at the Holiday Inn, Emerald Isles at Flamingo and Paradise roads. Admission is $15, which includes breakfast. For information or reservations, call 338-2071.
